Scope mounts are devices that allow a rifle to be aimed and fired at a variety of distances. Scope mounts come in different shapes and sizes, but all share one common goal: to allow the user to move the scope around so it can be close to or far from the firearm's barrel. The two most common types of scope mounts are dovetail and Picatinny. Dovetail mountings are typically found on rifles that have a barrel nut that goes into both the receiver and the muzzle device (often called an "inverted V"). The mounting surface for your optics is then screwed onto this screwdriver-like fixture, which makes it very easy to adjust your magnification level without having to remove your rifle from use. Picatinny mounts, on the other hand, are designed specifically for rifles with threaded barrels. Typically these mounts include four screws per inch along one edge of the mount while another two screws run perpendicular to this line - making it possible for you to place your optic anywhere on your firearm that you want it. This is great for keeping your accessories close at hand while shooting, as well as making adjustments at long range without ever having to remove your weapon!
The first expansion of the original Jacksonville, Arkansas mount was an addition to the existing Mountaineering Service Rifle range. The new rifle range opened in 1928 and featured a .50 caliber turret that could be used for target shooting. In 1934, the Mountaineering Service Rifle range was enlarged and became known as the Jackson County Range. In 1945, it was renamed again to theJackson County Shooting Sports Complex. In 1978, a machine gun turret was added to the complex and it became known as the Jackson County Machine Gun Range. In 1994, the complex changed its name once again to theJackson County Shooting Sports Complex Incorporating a 4-lane driving range with 27 targets including 5 iron birdshot bolts. In 1997 another machine gun turret was added to this facility making it one of only two mainland United States sites with such technology at that time.
Jacksonville, Arkansas is a city in Pulaski County, Arkansas. The population was 5,451 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Pulaski County. Jacksonville was founded in 1867 and named for General Andrew Jackson. The present-day city was platted in 1883 by Waddell Irvin and James Hogg, both lawyers from Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. Jacksonville became an incorporated town on January 1, 1907. Jacksonville had a population of 7,521 as of the 2010 census; it has since grown to over 11,000 residents. The downtown district is home to many businesses and services including banks and health clinics as well as some high-endresidential properties such as the Tyson Foods building which used to be the largest office complex in Arkansas before its acquisition by Walmart.[1][2] The economy of Jacksonville is based mostly on service industries such as education (including law enforcement), government services (such as Social Security Administration processing), retail trade and restaurant industry. Scope mounts come in a varietyof shapes and sizes, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. The history of scope mounts starts with the early days of firearms when rifles were fired off-hand without any help from tripod or monopod support systems. To provide stability for these rifles, many gunsmiths began making scopes directly onto the barrels by attaching heavy metal circles called 'screws' to the top end of the rifle's barrel. These screws were often used as mountings for bipods or similar devices so that shooters could keep their rifles stable while firing at close range. Later on, when rifle recoil became more pronounced, some gunsmiths began using dowel jacks as mountings for scopes on guns. This allowed shooters to stabilize their scopes even during recoil transfers, which was important because it helped prevent inaccuracy caused byscope wobbling during gunfire. Additionally, dowel jacks allowed other accessories such as bipods or windscreens to be attached securely to the rifle while still maintaining access to the scope rearview mirror.

Jacksonville, Arkansas is the most populous city in the state of Arkansas. The population of Jacksonville was 2,500 at the 2010 census. It is located on the Arkansas River about 25 miles east of Little Rock. The downtown area has been called one of the " CBDs" (the centres of commerce) in central Arkansas for centuries and still remains a major commercial centre today. The first permanent settlement in Jacksonville was made by French colonists who arrived in 1765 from Louisiana. They named their new settlement after Louis-Jacques DuBois, an officer with the French forces that had conquered much of North America during the Seven Years' War. The French built a fortification known as Fort du Pré near present-day Jacksonville to protect their colony against Native Americans who were attempting to cross the river into what became Arkansas. The British also claimed land in what is now Jacksonville when they seizure control of North America following independence from France in 1783. In 1824, Englishman Benjamin Fenton acquired 4,000 acres (1 km²) south of present-day Jacksonville along the Arkansas River and renamed it Gadsden County after Richard Gadsden, a successful settler and politician from Georgia. In 1827, JF Steele began trading post operations at this location which developed into what is now Steele's Landing commercially and historically significance today as a staging point for traders traveling downriver to Little Rock or Oxford before continuing on upriver to Bentonville or Newcastle upon Tyne across Tennessee soil where they would sell their goods inland before sailing back home via Spanish Passage around Cape Horn to England via Gibraltar then Naples beforereaching Liverpool dockyards aboard HMS Dogger off Ireland’s coast on 13 October 1840 finally arrivingin Londonat Southwark Dockyard on 14 December 1840 under escort by HMS Cerberus . In 1830, Gadsden County was abolished and merged with Pulaski County to form Pulaski County Court District #2 which court continued until its abolition effective 1 January 1907 when all civil case jurisdiction within Pulaski County reverted back to original counties including Jacksonville as part of an overall reorganization plan advocated by Judge John Hancey which aimed at reducing jurisdictional duplication among various county courts across several southern states necessitated by rapidly expanding cotton plantations throughout that decade.. Following World War I (1914-18), many veterans returning home found work opportunities in local businesses rather than return home so rapid growth ensued with strong civic organizations such as Knights Of Columbus providing support through fundraising drives led by Mrs Mable Beasley qui organized lynchings within town limits primarily against African Americans working On White Lands leased or rented out by white farmers particularly towards black soldiers stationed nearby during wartime economies declined significantly causing some 300 residents left between 1915-1920 while others chose relocation away from racially charged communities experiencing high rates of poverty., In 1925, old Fort du Pré site became Race School Park eventually becoming Jaguars Stadium hosting both high school football games through 2003 while also featuring professional American football teams such as NFL'sJacksonville Jaguars (now owned by Tilikum Oil Company)and CFL's Toronto Argonauts played there intermittently until 2003 when stadium redevelopment plans surfaced resulting in its closure forbranding purposes only allowing reopening during Autodesk University's annual summer festival later that year..
