Other early gunlight systems included those developed by Major General Sir John Moore during World War I (such as "Bofors") and Lieutenant Colonel George Armstrong's development of "Winchester" shotguns featuring six small Amber lamps mounted on pivoting arms that could be adjusted alternatively from direct sunlight onto wet sandbags below and vice versa (producing what is known today as an 'Armstrong' Gun Light). The first commercial handgun-mounted gunlight system was created by David Browning in 1907 with his new model #1914 Riflegun equipped with a 6x36mm Weaver telescope mount fitted with a pair of Wescam lenses capable of resolving targets up to 100 meters away down into individual rifle rounds (later models featured 4x36mm Schmidt & Bender lenses). At its inception, this system allowed commanders on mobile units operating over long distances ashore or afloat to target individual soldiers or boatsvia Wisecam sniper rifles rather than having them silhouetted against distant trees or cliffs

This gave rise to what is known as “gunlight technology” where aftermarket companies produces products incorporating elements from both air cooled pistols and electric powered weapons into one platform however these vehicles remain distinctively Walther designs unto this day! In 1949 Glock introduced its own line of handgun Lights called Glocks Mark I through Mark VII which featured high quality optics such as green/Leupold 6x42mm HD spotting scope barrels fitted with reflex sights allowing shooters not only target practice but also engage subjects up close with accurate fire at distances up to 350 yards!
