They had one child together: Edwin E. West, III. Edwin and HelenaWest Helena enjoyed a long and successful marriage until his death on October 7, 1961 in Little Rock, Arkansas . He is buried with his wife at Mount Hope Cemetery in Little Rock . After Edwin's death, Mrs. West became caretaker of their home which she still resides in today . Although their marriage was brief there were many years of happiness spent between them including six children: Edwin E., Jr., Beatrice M., Dorothy Leland , Clyde Burchfield , Marion Hargrave and Harold Vernon . Of these children only Beatrice M.-era survived to adulthood HelenaWest Helena is considered to be one of the most accomplished women ever to have been born within the confines ofArkansas
