Forrest City is located in Pulaski County, Arkansas, and is known for its firearm hat industry. The history of the firearms hat industry in Forrest City began in the early 1800s when hunters in the area started using hats to protect their heads from the sun and rain. By 1860, there were several businesses manufacturing firearms hats in Forrest City. As gun laws changed throughout the 19th century, so too did the way that handguns were being used and marketed, which led to a shift towards firearm hats as a protection measure. In 1865, Forrest City became the first city in Arkansas to pass a ordinance regulating handguns. This ordinance made it difficult for criminal elements to purchase or use firearms without having prior approval from local authorities. In 1887, an ammunition company was founded in Forrest City by J.C. Nichols and Wm Higgs Sr. The company manufactured ammunition for rifles and shotguns. Shortly after, another Ammunition Company was founded by John Dickson with help from Greer Fenton of Little Rock. Dickson’s company built a factory south of town near what is now known as Federal Road/Arkansas Highway 515 (now US 72). When World War I began around 1914-1916, many companies merged into one another due to wartime demand for munitions products; however, none of these merged into an Ammunition Company like J C Nichols & Wm Higgs Sr., which continued production until 1925 when they moved their operations eastward to Fort Smith (also Pulaski County) because of restrictions on military export goods at that time. The late 1800s saw a resurgence of interest in firearm Hats within Forrest City due to increased hunting activity across the state thanks to advancements within photography equipment technology and changes within U S Gun Laws - this new interest eventually led to new businesses being established within the industry such as Miltons Manufacturing Co., Inc., which produced rifle caps starting in 1935 until 1978; Bobbies Firearms & Ammo overall since 1951; Arno Gunsmithing since 1958; Finally Frank “Nails” McFarlane Firearms since 1984 who has been producing firearms Hats ever since – all under one roof! Today there are multiple businesses generating revenue from firearm Hats including: Bobbies Firearms & Ammo (since 1951); Arno Gunsmithing (since 1958); Frank “Nails” McFarlane Firearms (since 1984); various retailers throughout Pulaski County including Gadsden Mallards store (#14), Walmart (#2771), Midtowne Mall #5479(formerly Albertson’s), surrounding neighborhoods including Forest Park mall (#3246) currently home to numerous sporting goods stores including Canik USA INC.; however some smaller businesses still remain active within this rapidly growing sector such as Armorys Sporting Goods #9015(operating out of Midtowne Mall#5479) along with many other small local businesses providing approximately $2 million per year jobs directly or indirectly related to gun sales alone!

Forrest City is part of the Little Rock–North Little Rock, AR-2 Metropolitan Statistical Area. Forrest City was founded in 1881 by James Forrest and his family. The first post office in Forrest City was established in 1882. In 1910, Forrest City had a population of 2,711. As of the 2010 census, the population of Forrest City has grown to 3,511 residents. Home to an agricultural community that includes cotton and livestock farming activities as well as poultry and pork production facilities, Forest City is known for its wide variety of products available on grocery shelves including fresh produce and processed foods like those found at Walmart or Dollar General. The majority of the workforce here comes from rural Arkansans who work in nearby Pulaski County government jobs or businesses such as banks or oil refineries. However there are also several high-tech companies based here including Google Inc., Microsoft Corporation and Intel Corporation which have helped to revive certain sectors within this small town while still providing good paying jobs for locals. In recent years some developers have expressed interest in expanding into what once were traditional agricultural areas near Forest City but so far no plans have emerged to take hold since the local economy remains strong thanks to continued growth from businesses within Appalachia as well as keystone projects such as Interstate 40 which skirts through town limits giving it access to both rural farmland and adjacent urban areas without interruption

Forrest City, Arkansas is a town in Pulaski County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 1,541 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Little Rock–North Little Rock–Arlington metropolitan area. The town was named for General Forrest who fought in the American Civil War and later became a U.S. senator from Arkansas. Forrest City is located on Farm to Market Road 724 east of Interstate 40 and south of Highway 692 (the main drag). The first settlers in what is now Forrest City were white men from Georgia who arrived during the early 1800s seeking land east of the Mississippi River. They built a log cabin on what is now US-40 near present day I-40 and Hwy 692 (now FM 1960). In 1825, two brothers by the name of Hawkins came to this area and began farming corn and beans on their large farm which still stands today about two miles west of where Forest City now sits. In 1868, General Nathan Bedford Forrest purchased some land in Pulaski County from Archibald Dixon for $2,500 which he then subdivided into lots plus an additional 50 acres adjacent to his current home on Cemetery Drive/Highway 922 (also known as Old Hickory Lane). This property would later become known as Forrest City limits due to its proximity to other adjoining properties that were also sold off during that time period including McCulloch Heights just east of Fort Smith; White Sulphur Springs (west gate) extending into modern day Searcy County; Anadarko Township extending into parts of both Fordyce and Johnson counties as well as much territory currently within Park Rapids Municipality; all this acreage forms what we know today as "Forrest City Limits." General Nathan Bedford Forrest's grandson John A. Forrest took over management of the property in 1922 when his father died leaving most ownership with John A.'s son John T .Ferguson who continued operations until 1984 when it was donated by Mr. Ferguson to Pulaski County Historical Museum along with other familyowned businesses including Fenton’s Department Store which closed in 2007 after more than 60 years in business downtown since becoming one of Little Rock’s oldest retail buildings; Fenton’s Barbecue restaurant opened its doors November 3rd 1957 inside one door only away from Main Street Plaza & State Fairgrounds building serving up pulled pork sandwiches until it closed down July 5th 2013 after many years open because there are no ovens left anywhere because they were recycled secondhand starting back around 1950 or so… finally Sam Neely Hardware Store opened up October 15th 1969 across Springdale Boulevard just north Of State Fairgrounds parking lot next To Coliseum Theater following Sam Neely's retirement from hardware store business April 14th 1970 after more than fifty years service inside & outside Sam Neely Hardware Store
