El Dorado is a small town in east Arkansas, United States. It is located in Crawford County, east of the city of Little Rock and north of Pineville. The population was 257 at the 2000 census. The area that would become El Dorado was first settled in 1836 by David Livingstone as part of his exploration for a route to California. An post office called El Dorado was established in 1838, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1893. The town began to be developed around this time; the first store opened on Main Street in 1840. As more settlers arrived, they started building homes, churches, schools and businesses. By 1860, there were over 100 residents living in El Dorado proper. In 1868, William Hennepin organized a local militia to protect farmers from raiders passing through their area on their way to eastern Arkansas markets. This led to the founding of what would become known as Pineville National Forest just south of town limits; this forest became an important resource for local logging operations during the early 20th century. During World War II (1941-1945), many civilians from El Dorado served within the military; some are still honored today with award ceremonies at Fort Smith University’s School of Military Science & Engineering Annual banquet each year honoring retired military members from Arkansas who have made significant contributions to society including service leadership or command experience as well as exceptionalism or heroism while serving our country abroad outside our borders during wartime periods such as Desert Storm (1991), Operation Desert Shield (1991) or Operation Iraqi Freedom (2003). The following year Noble Energy Company converted two aging tight shale formations into high capacity wells using HCC technology; these projects resulted in 575 thousand barrels per day (bpd) of new production on average during 2007 and 2008 combined. Today, there are numerous large-scale HCC projects taking place all over the world – most notably within OPEC countries such as Iraq and Kuwait where significant amounts of new production are being generated simply through conversion of existing wells. With continued growth in demand for energy across many industries, it is likely that more and more companies will begin to explore the potential benefits of utilizing high capacity conversions techniques.

El Dorado, Arkansas is a town in Pulaski County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 1,859 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Little Rock–North Little Rock–Brinkley Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town was founded by Mormon pioneers on December 12, 1872. The name El Dorado comes from the Central American word "el dorado," meaning "the golden country." When gold was found in nearby Mesilla and Telluride counties in 1905 and 1906, prospectors from all over came to see what they could find in this new land of rich silver and gold deposits. In 1912, the first post office was opened in El Dorado; it closed in 1951. In 1913, J.D. Payne became mayor of El Dorado after being elected as a Republican to fill the unexpired term of Mayor John Witherspoon who had been impeached for perjury charges unrelated to his mayoral campaign contributions. Payne's term coincided with one of the most important periods in community history; starting with World War I (1914-18), Arkansas experienced rapid growth due to silver mining operations conducted by companies such as Phelps Dodge and National City Mining Company (NCC). During World War II (1939-1945), El Dorado played an important role as a military base due to its location just outside Pulaski County on White Sands Missile Range property used by both U.S. forces and Nazi Germany during World War II as well as its proximity to Alamogordo Army Air Field which served as primary airbase for Allied bomber campaigns against Nazi Germany throughout 1945-48 inclusive In recent years there has been significant development taking place within the limits of El Dorado including several high schools (Faulkner High School, Rogers High School & Middle College) opening their doors late last year followed by construction began on two new elementary schools - Highland Park Elementary School & Sheppard Elementary School - completing this summer before school begins for 2017/2018 school year . These developments come at a time when many Arkansans are feeling more connected through technology having access to various forms of social media which has led to increased interactions between residents across Faulkner County
