In 1949, Harry Hickey purchased the business from Foust and continues to operate it as an independently owned shop today. Hickey was instrumental in developing new types of ammunition such as armor piercing rounds which allowed Arkansans to shoot elk and deer at distances up to 100 yards without fear of being shot by these animals! In 1984, Harry Hickey passed away leaving his business oversees to his son-in-law Don Sitton who operated it until 1998 when he sold it outright to Stephen Pritchett who still operates it today!
