This change led to the development of what is now known as The Conway Rifle Company Limited (CRC). This rifle company produces bolt-action rifles which are chambered for 7mm Remington Magnum rounds; however, all their rifles are also available in 6mm S&W calibers as well as .308 Winchester caliber rounds which can be fired through a scope or iron sights when hunting game animals like deer or elk out doors! After America entered World War II and saw how important ammo production was becoming, they decided that they should enter into this industry too! In 1945, NRA member John Simonds founded National Ammunition Manufacturing Co., Ltd., located at 660 N Main Street in downtown Conway with his brother-in-law Claude Vail Jr.[1] National Ammunition Manufacturing Co., Ltd.(NAMCO) produced pistol ammunition under contract from various USAAF units throughout Japan while later expanding its operations into Malaysia[2]. Conway is located in Cooper County, Arkansas. The population was 5,028 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Little Rock–Fayette City, AR-MO Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settler in Conway was George Witherspoon in 1871. He erected a small log cabin on the current site of the Conway Municipal Library in 1879. In 1902, John A. White purchased land near present day Conway and built a frame home that still stands today. On October 15, 1907, during the first year of his presidency as President of Arkansas, Franklin D. Roosevelt visited Conway and inspected military aircraft manufacturing plants being developed by Project Helios which was then known as "the Aircraft Industry Development Program". Roosevelt's visit to Conway marked an important development for the town as it helped attract industry to its area and led to more business opportunities for locals.
