Gun lasers were originally designed to emit a narrow beam of light, typically at ~2mW, which was then focused by a lens onto an object or target. The beam can be aimed manually or automatically using a pointing device, and it can be fired from any point within range. The first gun lasers were developed in Conway, Arkansas in the early 1970s. At that time, the state was known for its aerospace industry and there were several companies who manufactured guns and laser components. One of these companies was called Sylvania Technology Corporation (STC). STC produced two types of gun lasers: one that emitted a 2mW pulse width Modulated Light Beam (PWMBL) and another that emitted a narrower wavelength pulse width Modulated Laser Beam (PWMBL). These guns had manual aiming capabilities and could be fired using either an arm or an image display screen. Intermittent fire mode with PWMBL guns was first implemented on rifles in 1984 by US Army Sergeant First Class Darrell Laddick while working at DynCorp Missile Systems facilities in Tucson Arizona. In this mode, the weapon fires only when you adjust your aim by moving the rifle's hand along its contour; otherwise it fires continuously throughout its full cycle. This feature has been variously referred to as "automatic safe fire" or "continuous fire." It is still used today by some troops in Afghanistan as part of their standard operating procedure (SOP). The other type of gun laser developed by STC was known as the Gunnars Laser System/Glock 18 system. This system employed a wider range of wavelengths than either the PWMBL or WDM BLguns mentioned earlier and it could also be fired single-shot or automaticALLY from any pointing position within range without needing to move your hand! This allowed it to become perhaps one of the most commonly used firearms lasers on Earth because it could be attached almost anywhere on your firearm with ease!

Conway is a small town in Faulkner County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 1,828 at the 2010 census. Conway is part of the Little Rock–North Little Rock–Connecticut City, AR Metropolitan Statistical Area. It lies along U.S. Route 66 and Arkansas Highway 21 north of North Little Rock on the Arkansas River. Conway was platted in 1888 by J F Houlahan and A W Nicholson as a ranching community on land that had been owned by the Earle family since 1821. The name honorant General James Biddle Earle who fought in the Mexican-American War and received an award from President George Washington for his great bravery. The Earles donated their land to the state of Arkansas in 1907 for use as a university campus known as Arkansas State University (later Pryor University). In 1951, when Pryor University relocated to Jonesboro, AR, Conway became its temporary campus until it purchased adjacent property from the earles and developed it into what is now Conway Community College (CCC). In 1966 CCC merged with two other local universities – Central Arkansas Normal School (now CentralArkansasUniversity) in Parkdale and Northwest Louisiana State Teachers College (now Nicholls State University) – forming North Little Rock Community college which remains today one of Conway's most significant institutions with over 200 programs offered through eight colleges/universities plus its own hospital/medical center/parking garage complex within walking distance of every home. The first inhabitants of present day Conway were Native American Sioux estimated to have lived there beginning around 1000 AD according to archeological evidence recovered from nearby creek beds dating back to this time period including tool manufacture associated with this culture including projectile points made from obsidian found near Great Bend Lake about 30 miles northeast of present day Conway on I-70 just east of Doane’s Ferry Road southwest of Greenwell Springs Road junction near White Sands Lake outside Ofahema National Wildlife Refuge boundaries both these sites are open for public visitation year round

The first settlers in Conway were Methodist missionaries from Kentucky who founded a small community on the east side of Arkansas River in 1874. A post office called Conway was established in 1875, and remained in operation until 1915. In 1902, a group of businessmen led by J.B. Sparks purchased land on the west side of Arkansas River and founded what became known as Sparks City Limits Company. The company built homes and mills around what are now downtown Conway. In 1906, Confederate General Joseph Wheeler's forces burned down the town's mill because they did not have permission to use it for munitions storage purposes during World War I; this event is cited as one of the earliest examples of local political resistance to outside influence in Arkansas history. In 1932, Mayor James Fenton erected a large concrete fountain near downtown that still stands today as one of only two municipal fountains remaining in Pulaski County after prohibition was repealed statewide that year. On January 17, 1984, when state Representative Don Hickey was elected Speaker pro tempore (the first female speaker), he organized an all-night session within the House which would be known as "The Dungeon Session." This sessions were used to settle disputes between members and provide order during heated debate among lawmakers which often turned physical. As with most American towns during this time period; Conway experienced significant decline beginning around 1990 due to loss of jobs due to technological advancements such as NAFTA and global recession etc.; however some recent resurgence has occurred with new businesses being opened up including restaurants and bars along with increased access to education through Arkadelphia Independent School District’s adult education program which has provided many opportunities for economic development not just for Conway but also surrounding communities like Alice Springs
Conway was founded on January 3, 1824, by Simon Conway and his wife Nancy. The town was named for General James Conway who fought in the Mexican-American War. The town had a population of about sixty people when it was founded. The first post office in Conway opened in 1826. The first store opened in 1830. In 1843, the first school was built in the town. In 1865, the first railroad arrived in Conway. In 1870, a cotton gin and distillery were built in Conway. In 1903, an oil refinery and gas plant were built in Conway. In 1911, the United States Supreme Court ruled that Arkansas could not secede from the Union because of its slave-based economy. This made Conway one of few towns within Arkansas to remain part of the United States during this time period
