By 1000 AD there was evidence indicating that firearms had been developed in Europe (Krause). Gunpowder had already been discovered in Europe some time before this – it was only after about 1100 AD when Europeans starting using guns for hunting that powder became useful for launching projectiles! But back then all sorts of objects were launched by way of cannonfire including houses! So development didn’t stop there – soon people started using cannons not just for hitting things but also for firing Huge balls made out of lead or iron straight up into the sky!
