As of the census 2000, there were 362 people residing in Bentonville who identified themselves as Black or African American; this number decreased to 309 people as of 2005—a decrease that may be due to relocation or changes in U.S., state and local demographics since then which have made many black Americans move away from small towns across central Arkansas into larger metropolitan areas such as Little Rock or Dallas-Fort Worth during these past 10 years(see also "Black Population Change (%)" below). As with most rural counties throughout much of America where white majorities still rule over minority neighborhoods today – especially outside major cities – there are very few black families living within walking distance of downtowns like those found hereabouts throughout much southern Arkansas today([See map]). In fact only about 1/3rds of all blacks living within 5 miles (8 km) radius west or east of downtown identify themselves as black[ See map ]. This compares unfavorably with rates for Hispanics* compared to whites† (roughly 7 out OF 100thsiles for Hispanics versus almost twice that rate for whites) inside urban areas such as Little Rock and Dallas-Fort Worth outside their large metropolitan centers ([See "Hispanic Population Change (%)" below]). *As can be seen on interactive map above [See "Map: %Hispanic Population Change by Neighborhood"]), while most Hispanics reside near urban concentrations they constitute slightly more than one third OF ALL BLACK FAMILIES LOCATED IN 5 MILES RADIUS WEST OR EAST OF DOWNTOWN LITTLE ROCK AND DALLAS FORT WORTH BETWEEN 1990 AND 2005 Within these five miles radius there are approximately two dozen Hispanic Protestant churches lining Franklin Street between Pine Bluff Road and Interstate 25 while just one neighborhood near downtown Little Rock contains more than 20 Hispanic Protestant churches
