In 1907, a group of entrepreneurs in Bella Vista, Arkansas founded the Optical Laboratory of America. The laboratory was responsible for developing new and innovative optical devices and equipment for use in the agricultural, engineering, and scientific communities. Through its research and development program, OLA helped to define the field of optics as we know it today. In 1938, the lab became known as Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI). TI has remained a leading player in the industry ever since. Bella Vista is home to one of TI’s largest research laboratories with over 150 employees working on various projects related to optics and technology. Today, TI continues to lead the way in innovation with new products and services that help people achieve their everyday needs.

Bella Vista is a town in Pulaski County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 5,521 at the 2010 census. Bella Vista is part of the Little Rock–North Little Rock–Arlington Metropolitan Statistical Area. The townsite was founded on November 6, 1907 by the merger of two settlements: Bigelow and Westville. On February 25, 1912, it was incorporated as a city. That year saw the first mention of Bella Vista when Rufus Potter (1870-1948) donated land to become an urban park in memory of his wife Alice Roosevelt Potter (1881-1945). In 1928, Bella Vista annexed the unincorporated community of Wellston. In 1933, after passage of the Social Security Act Amendments and separate social security benefits for farmers and their families becoming effective that year, many people in rural Pulaski County began to move into cities such as Bellefontaine and Arkadelphia seeking employment opportunities within those larger municipalities. This migration led to increased enrollment at schools in Bella Vista; however enrollment had been increasing prior to enactment of special education legislation which established a state appropriations fund for school funding which then helped support increased enrollments throughout Arkansas government institutions includingArkansas State University (ASU),A&M University (AUB),and Bryant & Stratton College among others. Additionally during this time period several small businesses were started within Bella Vista with some continuing until today due to its close proximity to major metropolitan areas in both Arkansas and Missouri

Bella Vista, Arkansas is a small town located in Pulaski County, Arkansas. The population was 1,827 at the 2000 census. Bella Vista is part of the Little Rock–North Little Rock–Conway metropolitan area. The first settler in Bella Vista was James Witherspoon and his family who arrived in 1836. In 1840, John Aiken settled in Bella Vista and built the first log cabin on Elm Street. By 1845, all of what is now Bella Vista had been settled and named for Mrs. Alice Everett (1801-1885), daughter of Colonel Robert Everett (1787-1860). In 1865, Trinity Episcopal Church was built on Whiteoak Boulevard southwest of town near where present day Elm Street meets Whiteoak Boulevard. That same year also saw the erection of a school building which served as both home and school until 1929 when it became known as the Bella Vista High School Building. In 1907, during Reconstruction following the Civil War, Stagecoach Road ran through town from Pine Bluff to Hot Springs Junction serving residents traveling between those two destinations as well as other nearby towns such as Bryantville and Prairie View Arsenal but no longer does so today due to Interstate 44 joining I- 40 just north of town limits making travel much more difficult than it used to be. In 1928, after years of discussion by many people in town about how best to celebrate its centennial anniversary including some form of celebration parade or exhibition being held at Bellefontaine Park with live music by local bands most likely followed by dinner at a local restaurant celebrating birthday honors there were several proposals made for possible events resulting in only one event that actually took place - The First Annual Masquerade Ball which was held on Saturday night December 3rd at Bellefontaine Park thanks largely to financial support from Mrs. Alice Everett herself!

The first school was established in 1894. In the 1920s, Bella Vista became an agricultural center due to its location near the Arkansas-Oklahoma border. During this time, it also served as a hub for trade between the United States and Mexico. In the 1960s and 1970s, Bella Vista experienced growth due to its proximity to Phoenixville Airport and Menard Air Force Base. It has since become a smaller town with limited commercial activity.
