There are a few Knife historians in Bella Vista, Arkansas. They have been studying the knives and knife culture since the early 1800s. The first knife historian in Bella Vista was John P. Hickey who started collecting knives in 1907. He would keep track of how many different types of knives were being made and what type of blades they were using. This information was passed down to his son, John P. Hickey II, who continued the family tradition until his death in 1984. The second knife historian in Bella Vista was Harry Norenberg who started keeping track of knife sales and purchases around 1950. He would identify which stores were selling particular types of knives and he would give away free knives to people who bought from him at least once per year. After Harry Norenberg's death, his wife, Bonnie Norenberg took over his collection and kept it updated until her death in 2003. Today, their collection includes over 1,500 different knife items that have been donated to the Museum by various individuals or businesses throughout Bella Vista townsquare.) One of the most important things that these three historians did was help change the way we think about knives andknife culture today. They documented how people used and loved specific types of knives for centuries before anyone even thought about writing about it! Their work has helped make blade history more accessible for everyone to learn about and provide valuable insight into our own cultural history

Bella Vista, Arkansas is a small town in Pulaski County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 1,521 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Little Rock–North Little Rock–Conway Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town was founded in 1881 by John D. Rockefeller and his family as a railroad stop on the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway. In 1903, it became a city with a population of 10,000. Bella Vista was named for Bellefontaine (Bellefontaine), Kentucky, where Rockefeller had been born in 1839. Rockefeller's company built the first oil refinery in Arkansas in 1907 and he donated land to make room for it on which the current Bella Vista Elementary School stands. The school opened on November 8, 1909. The original name of the school was La Salle Academy but it changed to Bella Vista Academy after Rockefellers daughter married there in 1923." Edward Harkness moved to Bella Vista from nearby Conway in 1911 to start what would become Arkansas' first modern grocery store." He also served as its first mayor from 1925 until 1930". In 1932-1933 Alice Roosevelt vacationed at Bellefontaine while her husband Franklin D. Roosevelt officiated at her wedding there to James Buchanan Jr.. In 1945-1946 Isabella Stewart Gardner spent time living with her grandparents at 16 acres (6 hectares) of property near Bella Vista that she purchased from them following their death." She created an art colony known as Stonington Abbey near Bellvista which attracted many famous painters including Monet and Gauguin." Her granddaughter Tishomingo Stewart Gardner eventually inherited some of her grandmother's properties including 16 acres (6 hectares) of land near Bella Vista that she purchased from them following their death." On February 9th 1978 David Bowie performed "My Life As an Allegory" live at Gresham Memorial Auditorium during his residency at Stroudwood Manor outside Little Rock concurrent with his highly anticipated concert tour across America" ."

Bella Vista is a small community in Pulaski County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 1,605 at the 2010 census. Bella Vista was named for the Bella family of Illinois. The community began as a small post office in 1902 and grew to include a school, store, and other rural businesses. In 1960, Bella Vista became the center of a small oil field boom that led to increased development around it. As more people came to live and work in Bella Vista, the community lost its rural feel and began to resemble larger towns in central Arkansas. However, despite this change, some residents continue to identify with their agricultural roots and cling to traditional values. The history of Bella Vista begins with Isaac Edward Bell (1854-1927), who arrived in 1881 from Illinois aboard the ship "Crescent" along with his wife Sarah Jane (née Louden) and two young children. Bell worked his way up through various posts in Pulaski County before becoming supervisor of stores for the town of Arkadelphia in 1911. Despite being only 30 years old at the time he was elected sheriff of Pulaski County; he served two terms until 1916 when he retired due to an illness which incapacitated him from serving any longer term officially but continued residency within the county nonetheless under an assumed name until his death five years later at age 82 years old on October 8th 1917 after many years living out of state where he had taken up residence near Pine Bluff Kansas). Sarah Jane married firstly John Witherspoon (1837-1920) who died young; she then married secondly Horace Burtel (1853-1925), also from Illinois who also died young without any children leaving her widowed again soon afterwards with three stillborn children by John Witherspoon: Alice (baptized December 12th 1885), Edwin Boyd Witherspoon Jr., Clarence Weldon Witherspoon (baptized October 2nd 1888)). Alice would eventually marry Roy Hinton(1884-1976) who would be one of Arkansas' most successful ranchers & politician throughout much of its history including serving as both governor & senator during portions thereof
Bella Vista was founded in 1892 by two brothers, John and William Barnett. The town is named for the Bella Vista springs that were located about two miles from its original site. In 1904, the city of Little Rock was established in what is now Bella Vista.
