Bella Vista is located in the Arkansas Valley of the Ozarks, and has been inhabited by Native Americans for centuries. In 1862, John Wesley Powell discovered a gold mine in what is now Bella Vista, and began developing it into a mining town. The town quickly became known as the "Gilded Age" town because of its rich goldRush history. In 1875, Edward Everett Hale constructed the first hotel in Bella Vista, and it was one of the most popular tourist destinations in the area. In 1916, prohibition began to spread throughout Arkansas, and Bella Vista became one of the first towns to pass Prohibition laws. However, due to its close proximity to Tulsa (which had become an important alcohol center), Bella Vista continued to enjoy a high level of popularity until prohibition ended in 1920. In 1925, Alice Paul started singing at local bars in Bella Vista. She would later start her own music career and found her own band called The Harlots. After she left The Harlots in 1928 with her husband Julius Caesar (a fellow singer with The Harlots) to form his own group called Negro Pennsylvanian Giants (later known as The New York Yankees), she decided that he should name his group after himself - Alice Paul & His Tympany Boys (later known as Alice Paul & Her All-Star Sopranos). After many years of successful performance around Arkansas Valley communities such as Magnolia Springs and Rogersville, Alice Paul moved permanently to New York City in 1951 so that she could continue her musical career there alone. Today, Bella Vista is home to numerous businesses including Callaway Golf Course; Applebees; Chilton's BBQ; Dollar General; Diesel Mechanic SERVICE CENTER; Ford dealership; GADGETZ MUSIC HALL OF FAME; Heritage Brews Brewery/Taco Bell restaurant; Home Depot/ Lowe's store ; JCPenney store ; Little Rock Arsenal Ammunition Plant ; Rita's Pizza ; Sardi's Italian Restaurant . There are also several dozen small schools located within easy walking distance of various shops and restaurants

Bella Vista is a small town in Pulaski County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 1,752 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Little Rock–North Little Rock–South Little Rock Metropolitan Statistical Area. Bella Vista is located on U.S. Route 160 and State Road 321 north of NorthLittleRock and east of Arkadelphia. The town was founded in 1902 by citizens of nearby Fort Smith as a result of the opening of the Arkansas River to navigation. The name "Bella Vista" first appeared on a map dated 1903 which showed the town Location not including present day Bella Vista but extending northerly to near mile marker 87 on State Road 321 where it met US160 (now I-40). In 1907, Alice Latta became president and CEO of Central Telesis Company, later renamed Teledyne Incorporated (TTI) which owned land along US 160 in what is now Bella Vista. TTI built two mills south of town: one for cotton textiles and one for paper products such as postcards and newspapers; both were destroyed by fire in 1961. In 1912, Mayor Wimer Dyer proclaimed that “Bella Vista will become an important center for trade with its excellent location on US 160 just outside North Little Rock” In 1916 Alfred Pugh became manager general contractor for GAF Corporation who moved his office from Ft Smith to Bella Vista in 1927 when GAF bought Union Carbide Corporation's plants adjacent to then Bell Telephone Company's plant across from Main Street between Second Avenue and First Avenue NW; this company area would house GAF's successor AT&T until 1984 when Bell purchased all assets of GTE Holding Corporation - including Bellcore - making it the largestTelecommunications company in America . A number of early businesses associated with Bella Vista include "Foley Bros., Bootlegging Store", "Natchez Globe Newspaper Syndicate", "Arkansas Guide Book & News Company", "Arkansas Radio Service" (later Arkansas Television Network), "The Daily Review" (later The Gazette) among others which continued operations after World War II into the early 21st century before being replaced or shuttered by new companies or abandoned altogether during economic recession times throughout much central Arkansas; several have been preserved as cultural icons such as Foley Bros., now known as Foley's Barbecue & Grill (), Natchitoches Globe Newspaper Syndicate (), ARKANSAS RADIO SERVICE () while others are gone forever like THE DAILY REVIEW which was pronounced gone Jan 1 2009 after more than 60 years service (). Of note also is THAT GLOBE newspaper building still standing although used primarily for storage since 1984

This system allowed commanders to target specific areas without having to rely on guesswork

Bella Vista is a small city in Pulaski County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 753 at the 2010 census. Bella Vista is part of the Little Rock–North Little Rock–Conway Metropolitan Statistical Area. The city was founded by settlers from Kentucky in 1872 and named for Alice Ballinger, wife of Major General John C. Ballinger. The first post office in Bella Vista was established on July 8, 1872, and was called "Pulaski". It remained open until 1908. In 1906, the town made land donation to the Pulaski County Agricultural Society for use as a school ground and town square. The society used the land until it sold it to the City of Bellville in 1912. That year, Bella Vista voters approved a $10 million bond issue to build waterworks and other public works within the city limits. In 1916, Edward Hennessey built what is now Park Avenue on land donated by Mrs. Hennessey to provide parkland within the city limits of Bella Vista. He named it after his father-in-law, Governor George Bird Griggs (1859-1937). The park remains today and has been used as a place for civic functions such as dances andpicnics ever since its creation
