The Arkadelphia Rifle and Pistol Club was organized in 1892. The club fired a rifle for the first time in 1893. The club’s first rifle stock was made from a piece of pine that had been cut down to size. It was not until 1898 that the club acquired a new stock from Mr. Jepson of Arkadelphia. From 1899-1902, the club obtained three different stocks from Wm. Hildebrandt of Little Rock, Arkansas. In 1902, the club purchased its current stock which has been used by the Arkadelphia Rifle and Pistol Club ever since. The history of rifles and pistols inArkadelphia can be traced back to 1892 when the Arkadelphia Rifle and Pistol Club was organized and began using a sectional stock from Mr. Jepson of Arkadelphia as their primary weapon system. This year also marked the first time that rifles were fired at an annual meeting held at Union Baptist Church on Sunday evening where all members participated including those who provided shotguns for firing practice! Following this meeting, future meetings were held at various locations throughout the town with each location having its own arming Sergeant responsible for ensuring all members were properly armed for hunting purposes! One reason why rifles continued to play an important role in local affairs is because they could be used both recreationally and militarily; even today, many people inArkadelphia still enjoy shooting firearms! Prior to World War II, firearms ownership was tightly controlled by few individuals with only those with money or connections able to purchase arms freely; however, during this period there were numerous mass shootings which caused many people across America to become more aware of how dangerous it can be to own firearms! In 1943, after years of lobbying by local gun owners such as the ARKPHILLY RIFLE CLUB AND PISTOL CLUB (now known as NRA)Arkansas finally became one of just four states (along with California, New York City & Texas)to pass legislation providing unrestricted access to handguns through private sales ! This law allowed citizens across Arkansas “the right”to purchase any type handgun they desired without fear of government regulation! However due to political incorrectness at the time this measure did nothing but help increase ammunition prices!! Consequently over 50%of all handguns sold inArkansas during World War II came from unlicensed sellers!!!

Arkadelphia is a small town in Pulaski County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 1,827 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Little Rock–North Little Rock–Central Arkansas metropolitan area. Arkadelphia is bordered to the east by Slaughtertown and to the west by Pineville. The community was founded in 1872 as a result of an agreement between two land companies, one led by Judge James W. Bullitt and the other by Major General A.P. Hillyer. Bullitt donated five lots for Arkadelphia to be established on his rich land near Pineville; Hillyer donated four lots adjacent to his home in Slaughtertown (now known as West Plains). Arkadelphia had its first post office in 1876, but it closed in 1904 because of low postal rates and competition from nearby Bentonville. The first town doctor was Dr John Canebaugh, who arrived in 1881 from Nashville, Tennessee. In 1917 local residents formed the Arkadelphia Industrial Development Company to promote housing development within town limits; this company failed but helped spark construction of a shopping mall that stands today outside of town center around what was once Arkadelphia's only public park (now named "Bullitt Park"). As late as 1951 there were only 10 homes and businesses in Arkadelphia; since then growth has accelerated with new subdivisions being built along I-40 just south of town and on acreage annexed from neighboring Slaughtertown since 2000; also seen recently are retail developments such as Ritz-Carlton Hotel & Casino inside what used to be Albertsons grocery store across I-40 from central business district; annexation has generated additional jobs opportunities for centenarians like Maeve Mulvey working at nearby KFC chicken restaurant while their young children play on adjacent playgrounds funded through state/federal stimulus money which also includes funds for new streetlights throughout city center annually
