These magazines often featured advertisements for various firearms products available on sale at military surplus stores across America. After World War I ended, GUN Magazine resumed publication once again but this time under the name “GUNS Illustrated” starting in 1922). The magazine continued publication until 1969 when it was replaced by “Action Shooting Monthly” which continued publication until 1978 (although some issues continue to be printed). In total, GUN Magazine haspublished over 100 issues throughout its lifespan!

The first settlement in what would become Somerton was made on November 7, 1912 when Emiliano "Eddie" Torres set up his cattle and sheep ranch southeast of present day Somerton. The name “Somerton” was given by Mr. Wm. Horden who purchased 640 acres (2 km²) of land from Pedro Martinez in 1908 for $15 per acre (0,50 km²). In 1916, Harry Payson developed a citrus orchard here and named it Payson Orchard after himself and his father Harry Payson Sr., who had also founded Apache Junction two years earlier. In 1935, David Dutton established a uranium mine near present day Somerville to supply the atomic weapons program during World War II. Aftermarket sales increased demand for unique items related to uranium mining such as T-shirts and buttons bearing images of miner's faces that still remain popular today among somertowners and tourists alike! On July 1, 1957, Phoenix annexed much of northern Scottsdale into their city limits making Somerville an even smaller town with a population of 581 residents at the time! That same year saw the opening of Desert View Hospital which became one of Phoenix's first hospitals! And finally on October 8th 1959 when businesses along Center Street opened their doors to celebrate 50 years since Juanita Harris started selling ice cream here! This year marked another milestone for our community as we celebrated our 10th anniversary as a full service municipality!

Gunpowder Magazine Acts were passed soon afterwards which mandated that all pistol mags must contain at least 20 rounds per individual firearm along with 5 rounds per each magazine for rifles (or 10 rounds overall). However, this did not stop sporadic shootings between armies until commercial production methods arrived which eventually led to the Second World War when large hordes of battle-tested soldiers wielding explosives-fired pistols appeared on battlefields all over Europe!

The ranch became a virtual ghost town after it was lost in a fire in 1905. In 1951, when Somerton incorporated as a town, it had 1,500 residents and today has around 2200 residents according to2010 census figures. Some of the primary industries that have dominated Somerton over time include agriculture (especially cattle) and manufacturing (such as vehicles). However, over time there has also been an increased focus on education and tourism. Today Somerton features several restaurants, hotels, museums and other attractions unique to its location.
Somerset was a small town in Arizona until the early 1900s. The first post office in Somerton was opened on February 14, 1887. At that time, it had a population of only six people. By 1907, the population had grown to sixty-eight people and the post office remained open until 1951. In 1912, Somerton incorporated as a town. It grew rapidly during the 1920s and 1930s with an influx of new settlers from New Mexico and California. The population reached one thousand by 1940. However, World War II led to a decline in population and businesses due to shortages of food and materials needed for war production. The community declined until it lost its charter in 1960. Today, there is only one house remaining standing in Somerton from when it was built back in 1912
