This change led to more people being able to own shotguns and make them available for shooting at local ranges. In 1934, Arizona introduced its own handgun law which made it illegal for anyone under 21 years old to purchase or possess any handguns whatsoever without prior written consent from their parent or guardian. As a result, gun owners in Somerton began storing their handguns locked up in their homes as they no longer felt safe having their weapons out in public. In 1978, Proposition 203 (the “Gun Rights Amendment”) was passed by the Arizona state legislature which forbid all municipalities within the state from passing any laws regulating firearm possession or ownership except through an ordinance enacted by a two-thirds vote of all residents living within each municipality. As a result of this passage, Somerton became one of the last cities in Arizona not subject to these regulations. Today, Somerton is home to many businesses that continue to offer instruction on how to safely shoot guns and enjoy hunting activities such as deer hunting and turkey hunting season throughout the year. In the 1920s, the company moved to an larger building in town and began production of motorcycles. In the 1930s, they became a truck manufacturer. By the end of World War II, they had closed down their factory but continued to make weapons for other companies until 1970 when it was sold to S&W Arms Company
Somerton, Arizona is a small town in Pima County, Arizona, United States. The population was 1,783 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Tucson metropolitan area. The name Somerton comes from Spanish and means "settlement". The first people to live in Somerton were the Apaches. They started living there in 1847 when they moved from Apache Pass on the Gila River to what is now Somerton. In 1912, a group of settlers named themselves the "Daughters of Temperance" and built a frame church on what are now Main Street and State Road 84. From then until after World War II, it was an agricultural community with few services other than farming and ranching. Today however, Somerton has begun to experience some growth as a bedroom community for Tucson proper. In 1973, one of Southern Arizona's most famous developers—David McLean—made his mark on Somerton when he purchased 10 acres (40 hectares) of land adjacent to Interstate 10 east of town and began developing it into an international airport known today as John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK). At that time JFK was only one runway; today it includes two runways making it one of the largest airports in North America by area covered. The airport has since become home to many companies such as Boeing Aircraft Company (BA), United Airlines (UAL), American Airlines (AAL), Delta Air Lines (DAL), Sun Country Airlines (SUN), Mesa Airport Authority (), Republic Airways Holdings Incorporated () and more recent arrivals including AT&T Mobility LLC (). Additionally, JFK has become a popular tourist destination with numerous events being held there each year including Formula One races throughout the years as well as concerts by artists like Metallica and Bruce Springsteen or New Year's Eve celebrations like Mardi Gras for all ages which have drawn large crowds over the years!

Somerton is a small town in Arizona, located on the Tonto National Forest. The community was founded in 1901 by settlers from England. The post office was established in 1902, and the first store opened in 1903. It was chartered as a village in 1907, but it ceased to exist as a legally recognized village until 1954. As of the 2010 census, the population of Somerton was 1,052 people. The town is named after Somerdale House which stood on the corner of third and Main Streets for over 50 years. The house served as a schoolhouse from 1892 until 1913 when it burned down. For many years, locals were unable to find an exact date for when the house burned down because there were no records dated back that far. In 1951, local historian Don Kenedy discovered evidence that the house did indeed burn down and he traced its destruction back to 1899 following an accidental fire that destroyed part of Somerville's wooden stockade fence. The post office operated until 1952 when it became known as Sagerstown Post Office. In 1954, Somerton formally rejoined Arizona Territory and took its present name with its current location on Tonto National Forest just east of Apache Junction In 2006, the town celebrated its centennial with various festivities including a summertime parade through downtown followed by live music at Main Street Park throughout July/August 2006 . There were also several art exhibitions featuring local artists throughout 2006 including two showing at Mesa Artspace & Gallery . A large fundraiser also took place throughout June/July 2006 called "FiestaFest" which featured several different bands playing all day long at several hotels across downtown Mesa County . Although not directly related to either anniversary celebration or Town Hall Meeting (the formal business meeting held each year since 1956), I thought it would be interesting to share some photos taken during those events included both before and after celebrations setting off fireworks from Harrison Park near jail where arrests used to happen regularly
