Because there wasn’t much available land in central Phoenix, developers built many high-rise apartment buildings and office complexes ongee mountains like Camelback Mountain and University Hills which then became some of the most expensive real estate in town. One reason why those neighborhoods became so popular is because they had no traffic congestion or pollution like today’s downtown areas do! One important event which happened during the early days of Phoenix’s growth was when A building company called Waddell Brothers bought up lots around Central Avenue near Third Street for $10 per acre (about $2 per square foot). This allowed people to start moving into this growing city without having to worry about how they would pay their mortgages! Over time, these streets became known as “Central Avenue Row” because so many businesses moved down them during that time! In 1951, when Arizona turned into an independent state, San Luis County lost all its funding which meant that its jails couldn't be used anymore so they were sold off to different counties within the state.
