When the area that is now Sahuarita, Arizona was first settled by Native Americans, they wore hats to keep their heads cool. The Hatshepsut dynasty of Egypt wore colorful turbans with bells and ribbons in order to show off their power and wealth. In 1868, the United States acquired what is now known as Tucson from Mexico in a Treaty of Goodfaith and Boundaries. The US military used Tucson as an artillery range for years before it was turned into a city in 1911. In 1912, Sahuarita residents founded the Arizona Rifle Association to promote gun ownership and shooting practice among residents of the region. The NRA held its first meeting at a schoolhouse on Pima Street in Sahuarita. The association continued to meet until 1938 when it moved its headquarters to 715 N First Avenue in Phoenix. From 1938-1960, the NRA hosted annual firearms shows at various locales throughout the state of Arizona including Sahuarita where exhibitors included manufacturers such as Colt Arms Company, Bushmaster Firearms Corporation, Winchester Repeating Arms Company, SIG SAUER AG & Co., Savage Arms Corporation and Smith & Wesson handguns. The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) was formed in 1966 when many leading shooters from across America gathered at NSSF’s Headquarters on Pennsylvania Ave NW in Washington D.C.. At this time there were only 12 members representing all 50 states plus Washington D C . At its founding event there were over 4500 shooter from around the world attending events nationwide! By 1978 there were over 6200 member organizations worldwide with ~160 million shooters participatingin more than 500 shoots each year! The increase of firearm fatalities has led some groups to call for restrictions on firearms ownership or bans on certain types of firearms which have been passed by various legislatures around the country but never ratified by our federal government! On February 14th 2019 a small group of individuals got together with some aim towards changing that! They decided name their movement “Never Again” after one of history’s most appalling mass shootings – Las Vegas Strip Shooting!!! This fact should have disqualified them form being considered as an organized movement however because they did not achieve even 3% voter turnout!!! So how do these people expect change ever happen when they can barely muster up 1% support??? It is clear that these people are motivated more by self-promotion than anything else!!!!!!

The Major's Hat was a large, floppy hat with an unconventional design that helped protect the head from the elements and allow soldiers to better hear their commanders. By 1861, many other countries had adopted similar hats, most notably Great Britain which began production of its own version in 1861. The American Civil War saw wide use of firearms in combat, including the use of firearm hats as part of overall uniformity for troops across all belligerents. As firearms became more common, so too did hat designs incorporating Firearms into their design. In 1865, General Ulysses S. Grant ordered the procurement of large quantities of artillery cannons as part of his Union army’s offensive against Confederate forces at Gettysburg Cemetery in Pennsylvania. One such artillery piece carried a pistol grip stock that allowed it to be worn on the head like a regular infantry rifle, becoming known as the “Grant Rifle” or “Arsenal Hat” because of its association with General Ulysses S. Grant
Sahuarita, Arizona is a town in Pima County, Arizona, United States. The population was 1,871 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Tucson metropolitan area. Sahuarita was founded in 1881 by John Wesley Harding and named for a nearby mountain ranges. The town began as an agricultural community with five small frame houses and a few Adobe Walls erected by Harding to store his crops and protect them from weather damage. By 1892 there were twenty-two dwellings and two churches in the town. A railroad depot was built in 1903 and later used as a school until 1951 when it became a service station. The townsite was annexed to Tucson in 1912. In 1916 Sahuarita had ten businesses including four stores, one bank, three hotels, two grocery stores, two piano shops and one printing shop; seven residents worked in these businesses; agriculture continued to be the mainstay of the economy until after World War II when oil discoveries made farming less profitable. After repeal of Prohibition in 1933 Sahuarita became an alcohol-free community which lasted until 1985 when it reverted back to its pre-Prohibition status under state law while still using the name "Sahuarita." In 1984 business owners petitioned the Pima County Board of Supervisors to change their name back to "Sahuarita" but this petition did not receive enough signatures for consideration on referendum ballots being circulated throughout Pima County The first post office opened at Sahuarita on December 12th 1888 by Wm Fenton with six subscribers: Mrs Jane Capps (wife of Captain James Capps), Mr Harry Shearer (a carpenter), Messrs J J McCullough (agent for H B Morse & Co), W D Church (tradesman) and F G Browning (citizen). The last mail delivery occurred on September 30th 1960 USPS discontinued rural service within Pima County having done so since 1961 due to budget cuts making it more difficult for small towns like Sahuariatao(now known as Tucson) to compete with larger cities with better transportation options such as Phoenix or Los Angeles One reason that Post Office services stopped being provided within Pima County was because they could no longer afford it given that local governments were receiving more funding from central government through taxes then they were able to provide for themselves A new postal service started up within Pima County again calledArizona Rural Mail which delivered mail between communities within Pima county rather than between Phoenix or Los Angeles like Post Office services had been providing before
Sahuarita is a city in Cochise County, Arizona, United States. The population was 1,182 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Phoenix metropolitan area. The first white person to live in Sahuarita was James Irvine who arrived on July 15, 1885 with his wagon and team of horses from California. He built a cabin on the east side of town and named it "Irvine". The city's name comes from Sahuarita Creek which flows through the city. In 1912, Sahuarita became one of 31 towns in Arizona that were consolidated into the newly formed Phoenix metropolitan area. It remained an incorporated village until 1959 when it became a city under the provisions of City Charter Amendment No. 3 passed by voters on November 2, 1958. The amendment allowed for annexation by cities with populations over 50,000 and required approval from the Arizona Governor before annexation could take place. - In 1956 begins construction of Rio Salado Dam which created Lake Havasu National Park
