Nowadays only a few small trees remain from those days as most growth has occurred in surrounding suburbs which have taken up much of the farmland once used for agriculture One thing that has not changed much since World War II are the attitudes inside or outside town towards Japanese Americans who lived here: many still remember well how difficult it was to blend into American society while living surrounded by people who felt they belonged to another race because they looked different than everyone else. Many Japanese Americans also decided to stay behind after theirBombay home fell due to air raids on December 15th 1941 which destroyed almost everything within five miles radius including their homes and businesses; among those lost were most if not all their families members residing here as well as many friends and acquaintances we took for granted such as Mr Miyazaki (a grocer) who ran his store next door until January 1942 when he went into hiding with his family under Tokyo bombings before becoming US Citizen again just prior to Pearl Harbor . Despite this tragedy many Dutch speaking community leaders helped care for local Japanese American survivors until 1946 when all property within two square miles around town had been confiscated by our new government because so few individuals could be found guilty due to lack evidence - a decision which may have saved many lives given today's technology . Today there are over 50 descendants living locally descended from about 27 originalJapanese Americans intermarried born between 1916-1930; these include several mayors/mayors pro tempore (2003-present), state legislators (2012 – present), business owners/managers (2008-present), schoolteachers (2008 – present), retirees/lawyers (2006 – present) along with numerous descendents of military spouses or children born out OF wedlock making up nearly half(50%)of total population! All except 2 mayors have served terms longer than one year!
