The Queen Creek Shooting Club was formed in 1915 and currently operates out of a building on 18th Ave. S. in Queen Creek, Arizona. The club is one of the first organizations to offer target shooting within the city limits of Phoenix and has been actively engaging in IPSC competition since 1916. In 1970, the club purchased an old factory building at 111 N. Apache Rd., which they used as their home range until it was closed down in 2003 due to vandalism by members. In 2006, the club purchased a new facility at 12800 N Scottsdale Rd., which they use now for indoor practice and matches. The Queen Creek Shooting Club has been participating in IPSC competition since 1916 and offers instruction for all ages including beginner through advanced levels of experience. They have hosted numerous championships throughout the years with various teams from around the area coming together to compete against each other. This year’s championship will be held on Saturday, May 4th at 10 am central time inside their new facility!

Today many local businesses still rely on these ancient methods to produce their products such as distilleries and wineries that offer wine tastings using traditional grape growing techniques.. A post office called Queen creek opened in 1877 but closed operations in 1908 due to lack of customers. A new post office called Queen creek opened in 1912 with ZIP code 85230 which later became AZ 85248 . In 1968 the community consolidated with neighboring Scottsdale into one municipality

Queen Creek was founded in 1885 by John Ransom and his wife Anna Maria Wright as a small farming community on the edge of what is now Apache County. After years of development,Gold rush fever drove many people from Queen Creek in 1912-1913 and it stopped operations for several years. In 1926, Anna Maria Wright's son-in-law George Waddell reopened the store and post office which had closed two years earlier due to financial losses during the Great Depression. The town quickly revived after World War II when many soldiers returning home brought their families back to Queen Creek and started anew the agricultural economy that thrived during previous eras. The population peaked at 2,711 in 1955 but declined steadily until reaching its current size of 1,521 in 2010. Many businesses remain open within Queen Creek including: Davies Printing & Graphics (since 1967), WH Smith ( since 1978), American Woolen Mill (opened 1962), Girdersmith Automotive Supplies (since 1985), Mesa Clothing Outlet (previously called "Mesa Stores"), Eveready Radio Shack (closed 1984) and more recently Lucha Libre Mexican Grill & Cantina - an Italian restaurant located inside Mesa Shopping Center which has been open since 2005 adjacent to Fiesta Mall Village Office Park
