On December 3rd of that year Phoenix madeQueen Creek its legal corporate CITYWIDE name effective immediately pursuant toArizona Revised Statutes §27-1013(a). The City Council met on January 2nd 1923 and adopted Resolution No.#2 which read "The City Council approves and ratifies the merger between Queens Valley (Queen creek), Fountain Hills (Fountain hills), Pine Valley (Pine valley) and Phoenix." The resolution also called for annexation by Phoenix of all four municipalities which had voted in support of merger including Belleview (Belle Vista), Buckeye Heights (Buckeye), Deer Park (Deer park)and Mesa Verde Rancho Coconino Apache Indian School District #1 east side).
