In Prescott, Arizona, there have been several shootings that have resulted in the death or injury of individuals. One such shooting took place on December 5th, 2018 when a gunman opened fire at a Christmas party. Eleven people were killed and thirteen were injured in the shooting. This was one of the deadliest shootings in Prescott since 2006. The history of shooter eye protection begins with the 1934 Prescott Gun Club Shooting which left five people dead and six injured. The Prescott Gun Club was an annual gathering for shooters in Prescott that took place at the time when it was still legal to own a gun in Arizona. He had previously been acquitted of manslaughter charges but this charge carried a $100,000 fine. A total of twenty-one people have died as a result of gunfire incidents in Prescott since 1936. These shootings have ranged from handguns to rifles and shotguns. Eleven people have died as a result of handguns and thirteen were injured by firearms during these shootings.

One important development inEyeglasses technology was invention in 1865 by Dr J P Hanbury who designed an intraocular lens (IOL) which correctedopia (a condition where your eye is too close tosighted or farsighted) caused by birth defects of one or both eyes (Goudreau et al., 2013). IOLs became available commercially in 1888 with ophthalmoscopic surgery becoming widely available beginning in the early 20th century (Wang et al., 2016). By 1910, over 60% of American soldiers had some form of safety eyewear including goggles, glasses and contact lenses; international troops began wearing them during World War I (Kappeler & Schmidt 1984; Wang et al., 2016). In 1931, Professor Julius Baer started using safety spectacles made from plastic called Spectacle Plastics Duroplastic which consistedof two typesof polycarbonate: one strong enough for driving without distortion and scratch resistance yet flexible enough for use with contacts/sunglasses/binoculars/etc.. These new products revolutionized safety eyewear design when they became available at low prices (<$1 per pair) due to mass production methods pioneered by Professor Baer at his company Duroplastic Corporation.. After World War II ended most people transitioned back to wearing contacts/sunglasses only before starting another era where firearmssafety Eyewear became increasingly important especially within law enforcement agencies such as police departments etc..
