Prescott Valley is a small town in the Phoenix metropolitan area and county seat of Pinal County, Arizona. The population was 9,691 at the 2010 census. It is one of the oldest municipalities in Arizona. Prescott Valley became a populated area in 1875 when gold was found there by prospectors led by George Waddell.
