Hahn and his brother, Geo. Hahn & Sons. It grew to be one of the largest gun stores in Arizona before closing its doors in 1959.

Payson, Arizona is a small town located in Cochise County, Arizona. The population was 1,827 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Phoenix metropolitan area. The Payson post office was established in 1893 and served until it discontinued operations in 1965. The first settlers to the area were Charles Ewing and his family from Massachusetts who arrived in 1885. From this initial influx of settlers, Payson slowly grew into a small community with its own schools and businesses. In 1892 Payson had its only railroad stop on the Northern Pacific Railroad which allowed for limited commerce and transportation within the community itself. In 1906 John Wesley Powell made an unassisted reconnaissance trip over central Arizona along what would become his famous first ascent of Mount Rushmore National Monument; he passed through Payson on his way up and left some coffee beans behind as a memento! This event forever linked Payson with Mount Rushmore as many residents took to selling souvenirs from their visits to the monument including cups, saucers, dolls, hats and other items! The Ajo-Cochise Pipeline was built through Cochise County in 1968 by local resident Don Paddock which allowed for increased oil production due to increasing demand for gasoline throughout Southern Arizona during that time period! After years of planning and construction various businesses opened up around the pipeline such as grocery stores, restaurants, convenience stores etc.; making it one of most active economic engines within town during those early years! However since then things have not been quite as positive; recently new development has begun to encroaching upon old businesses leaving much of downtown devoid of any real retail appeal aside from some auto parts sales establishments! Some good news though came last year when local entrepreneur Brandi Herndon successfully applied for city funding to upgrades certain infrastructure needs within downtown including renovating severalhistoric buildings into modern apartments; bringing much needed life back to an historic district that had long been abandoned by both residents & businesses alike! Now all eyes are once again turned towards Payson as preparations are underway for next year’s Main Street Festival which will be held concurrently with Veterans Day Weekend!

Payson, Arizona is a small town located in Pinal County, Arizona. The population was 2,231 at the 2010 census. It is part of the larger metropolitan area of Phoenix. The city of Phoenix was founded in 1885 by John Wesley Powell and named for Payson, Utah. In 1912 the City Council voted to change the name to Payson after Wm. A. Payson, a prominent landowner and rancher who had contributed $5,000 to support construction of the University of Arizona campus east of town. The first post office in Payson opened on February 12th 1907 and was known as "Albuquerque." The first store in town was built by Rufus Dillard on Main Street near what is now Apache Boulevard. By 1916 there were six businesses in town with a total payroll of $4,500; two banks (the First National Bank and the Savings & Loan Company), three grocery stores (Granada Market Co-operative, Golden Corral Mexican restaurant, The Dusty Springfield Store), two machine shops (Wright Bros., Noyes Bros.), one dry goods store (The Fenton COOP) and one lumberyard (Amasa Lumber). By 1920 there were 10 businesses with a payroll totaling $27,000; four banks (the First National Bank and Trust Company; United States Trust Company; PeoplesBank), five grocery stores (Granada Market Co-operative; Sunnyside Variety Club - later called Sunnyside Supermarket); one hospital/medical center (Arizona State Hospital) and two churches (First Baptist Church on South Fourth Street and Our Lady Of Guadalupe Catholic Church). All except for Sunnyside Supermarket closed between 1920-1929 although Granada Market continued operations until it shut down in 1951 due to lack of customers or competition from other markets within Phoenix's boundaries. In 1928 an agreement was reached between local farmers and developers which led to the founding of Municipal Airport adjacent to what is now Desert Hills Drive southwest of downtown Phoenix by entrepreneur Harry Chandler with plans for an International Airport that would serve all Southern California cities served by IAH including Los Angeles International Airport which started service on December 15th 1930 just before Christmas! With World War II looming large Chandler quickly began negotiations for airfields southward into Tucson so that war supplies could be brought Southwest without having them delivered through Tucson only to have those same negotiations shelved when it became clear that war would not end soon enough! On December 9th 1941 planes carrying military supplies over Phoenix landed at Municipal Airport during WWII as part of Operation Torch – code named Overlord – leading directly to Pearl Harbor! On October 3rd 1944 Japanese forces bombed Hiroshima killing more than 200 people leaving Japan’s entrance into Asia still open today! One month prior Japanese forces attacked Nagasaki resulting in over 1 million deaths with many more lost among Japan’s citizens living inside Japan where they were eventually executed!! So when President Franklin D Roosevelt ordered General George Marshall “to take all necessary steps … [to] effectuate Plan B” following learnings about Hiroshima he knew exactly what he wanted done!!! On April 14th 1945 atomic bombing raids occurred over Tokyo resulting in millions injuries with approximately 75% fatalities!!! Two weeks later president Truman Signed Executive Order 11506 ordering all American industries involved in production or supply chains regardless if they were “military or civilian” destroyed!!!! Priorities changed again when it became known that Emperor Hirohito had become aware of U2 Spy Plane flights being conducted from Japan!! As mentioned earlier Downtown Phoenix experienced significant decline beginning around 1950 due primarily to zoning changes which limited development opportunities along arterial streets making way for shopping malls instead while also eliminating industrial areas providing jobs that sustained residents Little did anyone know this would continue much longer!!!!! After years long debate both city planners & proponents prevailed upon voters via a ballot measure passing November 7th 2006 allowing growth along Mesa Road extending towards Scottsdale becoming known as "Beach Vic" while downtownPhoenix retained its historic district designation !! Today Beach Vic has surpassed Downtown Phoenix as the most populous municipality within city limits with over 26K residents according to 2010 Census data…..
