In 1892, the Paradise Valley shooting Club was established in Paradise Valley. In 1922, they added a pistol range. The first handgun show and gun sale took place on October 24th of that year. The club continued to offer shows and sales until 1934 when it merged with the Tucson Pistol & Rifle Club. In 1934, the club also became a member of the Arizona Sporting Clube Association. The next year, they were accepted into the International Shooting Confederation as a members-only club. They have been an affiliated organization with that body since 1965. The original pistols used by the Paradise Valley Shooting Club were .32 caliber revolvers manufactured by Pembroke Firearms Company of Worcester, Massachusetts. These guns were known as "Pappy" models and featured a six-inch overall length, a 3 1/2 inch barrel (with no round in chamber), magazine capacity of five rounds, and a weight of only 2 1/4 pounds unloaded! A few years later, in 1902, company founder Samuel Mears produced his first semi-automatic pistol using recoil spring assisted action called the Colt revolver! This gun was chambered for .357 Magnum calibers! In 1932-1933, membership in IASC changed from annual dues only to monthly dues plusSNP which at that time represented twenty percentof NRA's total assets! During this time period too there was growth within NRA suchthat by 1935 we had over 12000 members across all states... This growth potential is indicative of then+current firearms society where individual responsibility +collective defense are key ingredients

Paradise Valley is a small town in Apache County, Arizona, located on the eastern edge of the Navajo Nation. The population was 1,541 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Phoenix metropolitan area. The first Europeans to sight Paradise Valley were Spanish conquistadors in 1542 when they explored what is now Apache County. The area that became Paradise Valley was part of the Tucson territory before it was ceded to Mexico in 1846 as part of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo. In 1863, John Wesley Powell discovered Mt. Eldorado while exploring Anza-Borrego Desert and named it after his friend and financial backer William Waddell's ranch at Eldorado Springs on nearby Mt. Graham (now known as Mesa Verde National Park). When Arizona Territory was created in 1861, Paradise Valley became its capital city and remained so until 1912 when Phoenix took over from Tucson as the territorial capital. The name "Paradise" came about because no one living there could remember why a certain stream had that name. After Arizona attained statehood in 1912, many people desired to move to what would be then called "the new state." However, it quickly became apparent thatPhoenix would not allow enough room for everyone who wanted to move there so many people decided instead to settle near Ft Worth where they could easily get jobs and access all types of medical care unavailable on the east side of town such as University Hospital and St Joseph's Hospital which are still open today despite their location just 30 miles north-west of Phoenix proper! After a few years more of planning by leaders within Phoenix City Hall including Mayor James Buchanan (who also served as Superintendent Of Schools) this massive development project knowns as Paradise Valley were finally completed with much fanfare in 1926!! There has never been an increase in population or businesses within this largely rural community since then with only occasional out-of-town visitors eventhough some have tried! As one resident put it “What we lack in numbers we make up for with character”

In 1964, Paradise Valley became a state capital when Arizona became a state.
