The history of the gun barrel in Paradise Valley, Arizona can be traced back to the early 1800s. Prior to that, guns were primarily used for hunting and shooting game. In 1868, a man by the name of John Hargrave purchased an animal forge in nearby Bisbee. From there, he began making barrels for rifles and shotguns. Over time, the company went through several changes ownership and changed its focus to firearms production. In 1923, a new armory was built on the same site as the current one. This new armory allowed for more efficient manufacturing of firearms and made it possible for Paradise Valley to become a major player in this industry. By 1934, all weapons production had shifted from Bisbee to Paradise Valley. Here at this point, they became known as The Barrelmakers due to their Gulden-style barrel designs. Throughout its history, The Barrelmakers has produced some of the most iconic firearms in America. Their line includes such iconic brands as Colt handguns and Ruger rifles. They have also been responsible for creating many infamous criminals and outlaws over the years – including Ted Nugent and Jesse James – which has given them a following among enthusiasts around the world!

In that year, also, Paradise Valley became part of what is now Phoenix metropolitan area and gun sales here stopped altogether. However, as gun ownership increased throughout Phoenix throughout the 1920s and 1930s (and especially following World War II), demand for firearms again returned to what is now known as “Pavilion Valley Gunrunning” period where shotguns and handguns were sold at various local gun shows throughout the valley flooring from Mesa down into Scottsdale until about 1970 or so when all such events ceased due increasingly stringent state regulations with respect to firearm possession/use within individual homes/residential areas outside of city limits though some exceptions still extant today (e.g., Maricopa County).
Paradise Valley is a small town in Pinal County, Arizona, United States. The population was 1,392 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Phoenix metropolitan area. The town was founded in 1911 by John Davenport and his wife, Lillie Belle Davenport. They named it after the biblical Garden of Eden. The first post office in Paradise Valley opened in 1912. In 1916, the community became an incorporated municipality with a mayor and five council members. The first school in Paradise Valley was built on what is now First Avenue South. In 1950, the U.S. Highway 89A freeway was completed through Paradise Valley and annexed it into Phoenix proper; as such, Paradise Valley lost its municipal status and became just another neighborhood within Phoenix Proper rather than an independent entity separate from the city center itself). However, several years later (in 1960), when annexing Mesa Village into Phoenix proper also caused some residents to move to that city's eastside neighborhoods due to differing levels of services available there), they re-established their own municipality as a result of a petition drive organized by Mayor Lloyd Meeks III., which received over 5300 signatures (more than necessary because annexation had already occurred). At this point, City Manager Don Wargo said that “The citizens of Weiser Township have shown themselves willing to work together for what they believe is best for their community” and reinstated Municipal Status quo ante; since then there has been more discussion about whether or not to establish a second township within Phoenix proper but no final decision has been madeofficially yet... Official municipal government ceased operations on January 1st 1984 when all remaining residents left for personal reasons including annexation by Mesa Village into Phoenix proper." Today only one house still stands from when the town had 2 churches (oneMethodist and one Lutheran) & 3 schools: Mrs Kapp's home on Navajo Road Original name: "The Gables" Current name: "ParadiseValley Christian School". This house still remains unoccupied although it does maintain its original roofing which likely indicates its use as church during prohibition times
