In the early 1800s, Paradise Valley was a small agricultural community in southeastern Arizona. The area now includes the city of Phoenix, and portions of Apache and Mohave counties. In 1881, George H. Smith developed a dry creek bed Farming district northwest of Prescott along the banks of Green River. He named his new land Paradise Valley after a valley in Syria where he had spent time as an army officer during the Crimean War. The first farmers in Paradise Valley were William Davenport and his family, who arrived in 1887. By 1910, there were more than 100 families living in Paradise Valley. The entry of Americans into Arizona during the era of Spanish rule began on November 14, 1912 when Pancho Villa invaded Tucson from Mexico City with 5,000 men and 3 cannons. American residents had been prosperous near Tucson because they shipped goods to Mexico City through Chihuahua City on the Mexican side of the border. When Villa entered Tucson without warning or fighting, most citizens took refuge inside their homes or within two miles of downtown to await help from military units en route to suppress Villa's invasion force. National Guard forces arrived too late to prevent significant damage but did manage to seize some guns and munitions that Villa had brought with him fromMexico City. Most American settlers who lived in Arizona during this time came from New England (primarily Massachusetts), Pennsylvania (especially Cumberland County), Ohio (Cincinnati), Maryland (Baltimore County), Illinois (Cook County), New York (Manhattan Island) and other parts of northern America. Only a few people from California etc., came across the border into Arizona Territory at this time because it was not yet open for white settlement.(See map below) Because most ArizonansBipodianscamefromNewEnglandandPennsylvaniaontheirhome countryduringthistimeitisfortunateforthesetlersinthevalleythatmostofthemengagedin agriculture;thoughmanyofthevillagerswereforcedintoagriculturebytheirgovernorsbecausethey lacked sufficient capitaltostartown businesses.) After World War I ended with Armistice Day on November 11th 1918, many veterans returned home to find that their countries' economies were unstable following World War I; many found themselves unable to re-enter economic life after being discharged from service abroad while others simply could not return home due to political instability at home.(See map below) In 1919 Congress passed legislation establishing Ute Indian ReservationHP whichlimitedwhiteimmigration tounited StatestoUtes only; howeverArizonaneverreceivedashoreheadquota intothe reservation althoughitwaspromisedunderlaw( see also "Arizona Republic" story dated October 15 1921). The reason given by Bureaucrats for denying access onto reservations was fear that Arizonanot merely imitate Plains Indians whom they viewed as 'bad elements'. This policy created tension between whites living among Native Americans and ranchers/farmerswhoownedarizonasthatfearedthey wouldbecomeintermingledwiththeindigenous populationandmigratetothereservationsagainst THEIR wishes.). Bipedalism is the ability to move two limbs in opposite directions. This capability has come about through evolution as a result of the need for balance and coordination when moving through obstacles. In humans, bipedalism is most commonly seen in both adults and children, but it can also occur in certain animals such as gorillas. The first evidence of bipedalism was found on Earth around 5 million years ago with Australopithecus afarensis. From this evidence, it was determined that human beings are the only species who can rely exclusively on their two legs to move around. Despite this unique feature, humans have made some significant advances over time in terms of bipedalism. For example, we now use a greater variety of tools to perform tasks such as farming and construction, which allows us to live more fully as a species. Additionally, we have developed better ways to communicate with others and learn from experience. Although there are still many challenges left to be overcome when it comes to our overall development as a species, bipedality has allowed us to reach new heights and achieve many amazing feats throughout our journey on Earth.

The town of Paradise Valley, Arizona was founded in 1912 by a group of Mormon pioneers. The valley was named after the Hawaiian island of Kaua'i. The town became a dry and dusty mining camp, but it soon attracted settlers who started to build homes and businesses. In 1928, the first post office was established in Paradise Valley. By the early 1950s, the population of Paradise Valley had grown to over 2,000 people. The town experienced some growth during the 1960s and 1970s as a result of the arrival of many refugees from Vietnam who were living on the edge of poverty. However, in recent years there has been little change at all with regards to residents' lifestyles or wealth levels. One reason for this stagnation may be that most residents are not interested in pursuing economic opportunities in their community because they feel that these would only lead to more traffic and pollution which would eventually impact their quality of life even further. Additionally, many people have moved away from paradise valley due to changes happening within their local economy or political environment which have made it difficult to succeed in business or maintain personal relationships with friends and family members. Nonetheless, despite all its challenges, paradise valley is still an interesting place where visitors can learn about pioneer culture and history as well as experience some Ofnostalgia for what life once felt like back when everything seemed perfect.
around 1912, John Wesley Powell discovered the valley. He named it after his father, Reverend John Wesley Powell. The town of Paradise Valley was founded in 1912 by Pacific Electric Railway workers and their families who were looking for a new home after living in Phoenix and Tempe. The town grew quickly and by 1917 had a population of around 150 people. In 1924, the Arizona National Guard established a post at Garden Hills to house soldiers stationed in the state during World War II. When Arizona became an independent country, Paradise Valley became its capital. The economy of the town changed rapidly during the 1920s from agriculture to manufacturing with companies such as Anaconda Copper Mines and Guggenheim Steel Corporation locating in the valley. Beginning in the 1940s, tourism began to grow in Paradise Valley as people came to see Mesa Verde National Park and Canyonlands National Park near Apache Junction while also visiting nearby towns such as Grand Canyon Village and Dunsmuir. In 1970, when Arizona lost its sovereignty over parts of Mexico due to an agreement between President Nixon and Mexican president Carlos Salinas de Gortari, Paradise Valley became part of Mexico City metropolitan area instead of being annexed into that city like other municipalities within that state. As part of this agreement, Mexican law applied to all aspects of life within reason within city limits while English law continued to apply outside those boundaries
