This railway allowed businesses like lumberjacks and farmers to bring their products into Oro Valley much easier than they could have done before; which helped drive up prices of goods and create more jobs for locals. That same year saw another major development when an oil well was discovered ten miles east of town on the edge of what is now called Scottsdale Municipal Airport! This well became one of the most important ground assets during World War II because it provided fuel for military vehicles moving across Arizona desert highways! In 1948, Oro Valley became an incorporated town with a population of 1,500 people! By 1970, however, it had ballooned to over 6,000 people due to numerous businesses that had opened up within the past few decades including several hospitals (including our own!), shopping malls and prisons both state-owned and private-run! Today’s economy revolves around agriculture (especially dairy), tourism (particularly mountain biking), medical services (including very expensive surgery), law enforcement (including SWAT teams) as well as providing essential infrastructure such as water systems throughout townships throughout Maricopa County!
