The history of the AR15 is a long and winding road. It started out as a simple rifle designed for hunting, but it quickly became an essential part of military and law enforcement operations across the United States. The weapon has seen many iterations over the years, including the M14/M16 series of rifles, but its origins can be traced back to 1957 when Arthur C. Brown patented a design for an assault-style weapon that would later become known as the AR15. The Nogales Armory was founded in 1978 by Donny and Bonnie J. Dennis. The Dennis family has been a part of the gun industry for over 30 years, starting with manufacturing pistols for the Arizona National Guard. In 1990, they opened their own firearms factory, which continues to produce rifles, shotguns, and handguns today. The armory also provides training to law enforcement officers in how to use firearms.
Nogales is a city in Arizona, United States. The population was 1,640 at the 2010 census. Nogales is the county seat of Navajo County and home to the University of Arizona's Nogales Campus. It forms part of the Phoenix–Mesa Metropolitan Statistical Area. The area now known as Nogales was first inhabited by the Anasazi people before being abandoned by them in 1100 AD. In 1912, General George Custer and his Seventh Cavalry fought an engagement here while on their way to El Paso, Texas; they killed six Anasazi and captured four others along with seventy horses and supplies. This event has been cited as one of the most significant events in Arizona history. Today, parts of what are now Nogales and Mohave counties were founded during Apache Wars between 1847-1853 by primarily Pima Native Americans who had taken up arms against Spanish settlers encroaching on their ancestral lands. Most notably, Geronimo—the last major Apache leader—combatted Mexican forces near here skirmishing for control over a section of southern Arizona that became known as Tucson Valley after he did so. In 1862 Aztec traders from Mexico City arrived at Sells Airport (now downtown Phoenix) en route to Prescott when they ran into American soldiers under General John B forcing them to turn back eastward across New Mexico Territory towards Tucson Landing where they would have been raided by Apaches if they'd continued on their way south; this resulted in food shortages among American forces throughout much of 1862 which allowed fortifications like Fort Yuma (later Yuma Proving Ground) to be built nearby without fear of Apache attack thereby freeing up artillery for more serious operations elsewhere in Indian Territory including Las Vegas – today’s Carson City – further north where gold was discovered some months later beginning what would eventually become known as the California Gold Rush Twenty years later mining resumed around present day Nogale when water began flowing legally beneath Superstition Mountains providing enough graphic evidence for local miners entitled to claim claims starting what we now know as Valentine Ranch near Alamosa Creek however it isn't until 1881 that federal troops arrive at Sells Airport intervening locally prior to US$1 million Anglo prospector Don Carlos Alvarado finding personal investment lead him downriver finally reaching Happy Valley Dam with its associated mill complex spawning numerous towns downstream including Gallup (founded 1885), Oroville (founded 1886), White Sands (founded 1888) etc.; Goods exported through Terminal Road included flour, cattle feed, hides and feathers becoming increasingly important with world prices soaring during World War I ensuing war led industry drive Gulag Gelidochka downriver still operating today smuggling goods overground despite increased security measures imposed following 9/11 attacks
