Afterward, many people donated rice, flour, milk, vegetables, etc., which helped rebuild the community. In 2001-2002, an archaeological dig discovered six ancient Puebloan villages within a few miles of Marana dating back to 9500 BC! These villages are thought to be among the earliest known examples of architecture and have been preserved because they were not destroyed by eitheravers or white settlers during this time period.

The current incarnation of Marana is located on North Mill Street just east of Highway 10, smack in between ASU's main campus and downtown Phoenix - making it easily accessible from almost anywhere within or outside of metro Phoenix! Today, Marana is known for its annual Fiesta Parade which attracts an impressive number of spectators along Main Street during early summertime. It also hosts various other local events throughout the year including art shows, music festivals, kids' carnivals and chili cookouts!
