The Marana Shooting Club was formed in 1912 and has been a part of the community for over 100 years. The club offers a variety of shooting activities from Trap to Skeet to Deer hunting. There are also many leagues, tournaments, and other events that allow members to compete in different matches around the area. In 1978, the Marana Shooting Club became one of the first organizations in Arizona to become certified by National Rifle Association (NRA). This certification allows members to engage in competitive shooting within state boundaries without having to go through a separate NRA registration process. In 1945, the Marana Shooting Club established an air rifle range which served as an important resource for residents of Marana County. The range continues to be used today and is open Monday-Saturday 9am-4pm. Members can access the range free of charge during regular rifle season and during muzzleloader seasons when ammunition is available at participating stores. In addition, there are numerous stocked ranges throughoutMarana County that offer shooters the opportunity to shoot various rifles including shotgun, bolt action rifles, pistols, Shotguns with three shot tubes or five shot tubes (12 ga., 22 ga., 30 ga.), rimfire rifles (7 mm., .22 LR), handguns (9mm handgun), shotguns with six shot tubes or eight shot tubes (12 ga., 20ga., 24ga.), and muzzleloaders (5th generation Ruger Mini-14/24).

After successfully concluding an agreement with Pima Indians at Yuma Station on 14 March 1775 CE, Arce decided against continuing further downriver because he believed there could be no permanent settlement until water supplies improved upstream; this decision helped spur development along much of Arizonas Santa Rita Mountains corridor which continues uninterrupted today despite intermittent drought conditions despite ample rainfall throughout most summer months here near Phoenix metropolitan area). Following Mexican-American War results in extended ranching operations being conducted outlying portions/OUNDSTRY WIDE ALL OF PREScott VALLEY without any idea or intention whatsoever about long term consequences various floods/fires over numerous decades destroyed untold acres often displacing entire families resulted death tolls ≈25+ thousands many more people homeless knowing full well about potential impacts etc…. first serious awareness or recognition that country potentially facing imminent large scale water availability crisis began slowly bubbling up among individuals here circa late1970s thru early1980s only slowly becoming more mainstream media attention & popular concern starting around 1990s…)
In 1867, Marana was established as a town in the Apache Nation. The first post office was established in 1865 and the first store was built in 1868. By 1893, Marana had a population of over 100 people. In 1905, the Arizona Territory was created and Marana became part of that new territory.
