He also became one of the few merchants to offer express mail service between Phoenix and Tucson via horseback riding routes starting in 1897-98 when he offered two letters for $1 each way! His customers included lumber barons such as John Tuggle who ordered twenty tons of cedar logs from him at $2 per ton! A building on Fourth Street still stands today used by Valley National Bank where boxcars coming into or leaving Kingman often stopped to load/unload passengers before continuing on their journey northward or eastward through Phoenix or westward back to San Francisco! All told, Harry Witherspoon's store presence at downtown Kingman lasted until shortly after World War II when it closed its doors due to competition from post offices established along Interstate 10 south of town - including Peoria which began delivery services directly to your door! Today there are several businesses located within walking distance of downtown: KFC chicken restaurant & grill (opened 2006), Valley National Bank (Formerly Valley National Insurance Company) - 4th Street location - open 24/7 since 1907 - Supercenter #1 across street - Starbucks Coffee & Tea located just off I-10 near junction with SR 16 - Mike's Takeout Pizza located next door east side alley - several smaller businesses scattered around town center like Tire Kingdom USA & Albertsons Pharmacy
