During World War II there was also an increase in housing development along Route 66 as troops called home for service; this led to an even larger increase in the population when they returned home after the war ended. This rapid growth created problems for town planners who didn’t have enough land or space for everyone and began looking for ways to reduce or eliminate residents while still maintaining quality of life amenities like schools and hospitals. One solution proposed by local officials was creating distance limits on residential areas so that more jobs could be located closer to services but still maintain some degree of privacy within individual homes; this idea became known as “The Castle Doctrine” because it applied only within city limits (excepting police precincts). The Kingman Stockade was a military fortification located in the town of Kingman, Arizona. The fortifications were built to protect the town during the 1880s, and they remained in use until the 1990s. The fortifications are now used as a park.
