A year later Captain James Cook visited Tucson but did not find anything valuable there so he decided instead to explore North America via surveys of Arizona Territory made under then Governor David Stanton on March 13th, 1765; Cook never Entered into Agreement with any Indian Chiefs about his discoveries until after his return trip in 1767 whereupon he published an account of his journey In 1821 adobe walls were built around present day downtownGlendale as part of a pro-immigration crusade against Native Americans led by John Sutter who founded Sierra Vista Colony near present day Scottsdale Sutter's colony failed due touninhabitable conditions but left behind many artifacts such as tools from before homo sapiens could even live on Earth
