Fountain Hills is a small town located in Pima County, Arizona, United States. The population was 1,835 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Tucson metropolitan area. The name "Fountain Hills" comes from two places: Fountain and Hillocks. The first place was named for the Fountain of Youth that was found near the town and the second place may be because there were hills around it that looked like fountains. The first store in town opened in 1892 and by 1907 there were six stores in Fountain Hills. In 1951, a post office called Fountain Hills was established and remained in operation until it closed in 1957. The community began to grow after developers bought land around the fountain on which people could drink water without getting sick or having to go outside to do so. By 1959, there were over 100 homes built within a radius of the fountain and by 1971-1972, there had been more than 300 homes built within a radius of any other business or service establishment within City Limits of Fountain Hills. In 1986 both banks merged into one company which became known as First National Bank of Fountain Hills Incorporated (NBCFI). At this time NBCFI also acquired some old buildings which housed its previous branches including The LoanMart Super Store located on East Broadway Street across from Main Street which closed its doors on July 15th, 1990; however local residents continue to use it as their social club today although no formal banquet has taken place since then (due to budget restraints). In 2001 Sears Holdings Corporation announced they would close 175 stores worldwide citing changing customer trends but Sears Holdings did not close any stores in Arizona according to public records consulted by AZ Central Media; instead they sold all their assets inside of Phoenix including their tower adjacent to Phoenix Municipal Stadium where sports events are now held annually such as the NFL AES Championship Game between Arizona Cardinals and New England Patriots . This event is now known as The Super Bowl which takes place at UFA Stadium opposite University Village Shopping Center near Wrigley Field/Lesser Empire Mall

Fountain Hills is a small city in the Phoenix metropolitan area, located about 25 miles east of downtown Phoenix. As of the 2010 census, the population was 13,451. The town was founded in 1912 by George Fountain and his wife Sarah Mueller Fountain as part of a large agricultural operation on the eastern edge of what is now central Phoenix. The town grew rapidly after World War II, due to its location near Interstate 10 and the Cold War military base nearby. In 1966, Fountain Hills became one of Arizona's first cities when it joined the state as a result of its passage of Statehood Bill No. 5. It remained an incorporated city until 2000, when it annexed portions of Mesa and Buckeye Heights. Prior to that time, Fountain Hills had been largely self-sufficient with its own incorporation date only providing for municipal services such as firefighting and police patrols within city limits while residents regulated their own elections and business practices through their individual homes or businesses. In 2000, following years of growth without any corresponding increase in annexations or City Services provided by the City Council (due to lack funding from then-Mayor Phil Gordon), Mayor Greg Stanton announced plans to merge Fountain Hills intoPhoenix proper under new City Manager Norm Adams policy which would provide better City Services including Firefighters & Police Officers 8 hours per day on call plus Paramedics 9 hours per day responder status West Valley Regional Medical Center Emergency Room just minutes away from our doorstep I am confident that this proposal will be approved by you all at your next meeting
