In 1881, Florence, Arizona was founded as the town of Bisbee. In 1912, Bisbee became part of the new city of Phoenix. The city's growing population and economic prosperity led to a boom in development in Bisbee and other nearby towns. In 1933, Phoenix annexed Bisbee and much of the surrounding rural area.
Florence is a small town in Arizona. It's located on the banks of the Colorado River, just north of downtown Phoenix. The population was 7,827 at the 2010 census. The town was founded by Mormon pioneers in 1882 as Fort Douglas. It became Florence after it was renamed for Princess Florence of Savoy by an act of Congress in 1909. The original fort had been built in 1867 to help protect the area from Arizonan Apache and Mexican Indian attacks. The post office was first opened in 1881 and served until 1911. The first restaurant opened in 1886 and continues to serve as its current business address today. In 1907, Florence unsuccessfully tried to become the site of a international airshow because it did not have enough acreage for an airport. In 1912, Prescott became the new courthouse seat and Florence lost its status as a town when that city replaced Tucson as Arizona's capital city. However, because Fort Douglas still stood within Florence boundaries, it remained an important center for agricultural trade and commerce until 1949 when that fort was dismantled and moved to Scottsdale so that it could be used as part of the Heard Air Force Base military installation northwest of Phoenix! Banking services were available starting in 1915 with First National Bank opening up shop on Government Street near Central High School; however this bank failed within one year due largely to competition from other banks established around Phoenix at that time including Chase Manhattan Bank (now HSBC) which went into operation immediately across Government Street! On July 1st 1922 United States Trust Company opened up shop next door becoming one of only two U S Banks operating outside metropolitan Phoenix! A post office also operated there until 1967 when general mail service arrived courtesy US Mail Service; internet service started later that year! During World War II much saw activity taking place at Fort Douglas where munitions testing continued even after combat ended; however following hostilities such as bombings raids conducted against Japanese settlement areas throughout1945-46 FLORENCE BEGAN TO RECOGNIZE ITS MISSIONS AS A TEXAS POPULATION CENTER WHEN THE STATE OF ARIZONA ACTED TO PLACE THE TEXAS AIR FORCE BASE NEAR HERE IN 1948 WITH AN ADDITIONAL MILITARY BASE!! NOW STATED AS "FLORENCE AIR FORCE BASE" IT WAS FIRST OPENED UP BY THE UNITED STATES ARMY IN 1951 AND HAS CONTINUED TO OPERATE EVER since!

After Comte’s invention, more people started usingbinoculars because they thought it was an interesting way to see things at a distance from where they were located. Florence, Arizona is a small town located in the lower eastern corner of Arizona. The population was 2,811 at the 2010 census. The name Florence comes from two different Italian settlements which were both named for Florence, Italy: "Fiumicino" and "Pontefice". These places together formed the nucleus of what would become Florence, Arizona. The first settlement in what would become Florence was founded in 1881 by Giovanni Battista De Rossi and his family. It was here that he began to cultivate rice fields on the banks of the river Santa Cruz. This area became known as De Rossi's Corners because it was here that much of the early development occurred in this part of Arizona Territory. In 1901, a post office called Florence was established at this location. The community grew rapidly due to its strategic location within easy reach of both Tucson and Phoenix. In 1915, when Tombstone County was created within Cochise County, most of what is now Florence moved into Tombstone County under the provisions of then- county clerk John Haggerty's bill creating county lines based on population size rather than geographic features or treaty boundaries (see Indian Wars). However, by 1920 only about half of Florentine residents lived in Tombstone County while most resided in neighboring Pima County; presumably because Pima had been open to white settlement since 1885 when General José María Morelos claimed Apache land north of Tucson for Mexico under US law as part of Treaty 6 (see American Civil War). Dedication services for Patrick Henry High School were held on November 15th 1935 by Presiding Bishop James Egan with Reverend Canon Worthy officiating from Golden Valley Catholic Church across from High School after an invitation extended by Mrs. Fenton Hughes during her visit several weeks prior to that date; Mrs Hughes being one who contributed money towards construction costs and initial staffing for said school endowment fund raiser effort initiated by Presiding Bishop Egan less than one year previous na
