Browning Firearms Sales would continue operations for many years until it closed its doors in 1984. In 1927, Joe Gibbs opened what is now Gunbroker’s Supply Co., Ltd., at 10690 E Broadway Road NE (now part of Interstate 10), which served as both a gun shop and magazine shop serving residents of Phoenixville Manor east of Scottsdale Road (then called Camelback Road) between Superior Avenue and Eastern Avenue north of I-10/Route 16EKHWLNXZDGASP with an additional walk-in section located south of I-10/Route 16EKHWLNXZDGASP near Glendale Boulevard.) Joe Gibbs had been operating a pistolsmith shop(closed 1975) adjacent to Gunbroker’s Supply Co., Ltd., since 1921 when he started offering rifle parts and accessories online through GunsAmerica Inc., later renamed “Guns America Online” (). In 1935, brothers Clarence & Orville Smith opened their own gun shop at 316 W Hampton Ave.(now part of University Village development) which soon became well known for its excellent customer service as well as its wide variety of handgun items available for purchase including handguns made by Colt®, Ruger®, Springfield Armory®, Smith & Wesson® etc.). From this point forward, Gunbroker's Supply Co., Ltd., would become solely responsible for providing customers with all their handgun needs from stock up until it closed its doors in 1993 (). In 1942, locally owned Territorial Press announced plans to open a newsstand adjacent to their printing plant on East Apache Drive serving residents within two miles radius inside or outside of Phoenixville Manor east of Scottsdale Road between Superior Avenue and Eastern Avenue north of I-10/Route 16EKHWLNXZDGASP with an additional walk-in section located south of I-10/Route 16EKHWLNXZDGASP near Glendale Boulevard.) Territorial Press quickly gained local fame for being one of the first newspapers ever published statewide using digital technology allowing readers located anywhere within Arizona without ever havingto leave their homes!
