Cottonwood, Arizona is a community of over 5,000 people that sits on the edge of the Navajo Nation. The community has a rich history which can be traced back to 1868 when members of the Pueblo Indian nation settled in Cottonwood. From this location, they were able to watch and trade with the Hopi Indians who lived close by. In 1916, Cottonwood became an incorporated town and soon began to develop as a business center for the surrounding area. The first shooting protection history in Cottonwood was organized in 1922 when Rifleman Leroy Cook organized a group of local farmers to purchase shotguns and pistols to protect themselves from Native American attackers. Cottonwood is a small community in Pima County, Arizona, United States. The population was 1,527 at the 2010 census. Cottonwood is located on the east side of town and is bordered to the north by Tempe and to the south by Phoenix. The name Cottonwood comes from two Native American words: "kotzebue" meaning "huckleberry" and "wouda" meaning "pine". The first settler in what is now Cottonwood was James Waddell in 1868. cottonwoods were also grown throughout much of Arizona until around 1920 when it became a popular hybrid variety of pine that has since become extinct in that state. The citizens of Cottonwood are descendants of pioneers who built homes during the late 1800s and early 1900s on land that had been donated to them by General George Wright. In 1915, Wright gave ownership of his holdings for $10,000 to Captain Jack Lucas who then donated it to local farmers for use as their farmstead orchard and dairy property. cottonwoods have been grown here ever since, with some trees reaching over 100 feet tall! Today, there are several businesses which support an active culture within this small community; such as churches (Church Outreach Chapel & Family Life Center), schools (Pima County High School & Millard Hills Elementary School), libraries (Cottonwood Public Library) along with numerous volunteer organizations which offer various services such as arts & crafts groups, senior citizen group meetings etc., all while providing social Hullabaloo opportunities for the youngbloods!

Since then, bulletproof firearms have become more common and more advanced. They now use a variety of materials both inside and outside the firearm itself in order to create a layer of protection against projectiles that can travel through any material, including flesh. Bullet proofing also includes adding metal armour plate or plates on the body in addition to protecting against gunfire injuries.
Cottonwood was founded in 1863 by John Cotton and his wife, Nancy. The town was named for cotton fields that were located to the east of the original site. The population of Cottonwood reached 100 in 1865 and grew steadily until it peaked at over 500 in 1912. However, during World War I, the town saw a decline in population due to the war effort. In 1940, Cottonwood had a population of 350 and experienced its heyday as an agricultural center. However, after the 1970s, community membership dwindled and cotton prices began to drop which led to a decrease in economic activity. As of 2013, there are only a handful of homes remaining in Cottonwood Township.
Cottonwood was first settled in 1859 by Mormon pioneers. The town was named for cottonwoods that grew in the area. Cottonwood had a post office from 1864 to 1870, and a school from 1870 to 1876. In 1886, the town became an incorporated municipality. The population of Cottonwood peaked at over 1,000 in 1912, but declined after World War I and the Great Depression. The population of Cottonwood decreased to about 100 by 1990.
