Coolidge is a town in Pinal County, Arizona, United States. The population was 1,948 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Phoenix metropolitan area. The name "Coolidge" comes from Anglo-Saxon Coolsaide meaning "settlement by cool springs." In 1888, George W. Coolidge became the 15th President of the United States (1889-93). during his term as president he spearheaded passage of a bill that made it easier for citizens to buy firearms and purchase ammunition without having to go through a licensed dealer. This law later became known as the "Coolidge Doctrine." The Coolidge Rifle company was founded in 1911 by Earle Minkler and Harry Elmer Barnes. Barnes sold rifles to Ulysses S Grant and other high-ranking officials in the early 20th century. In 1923, Harry Elmer Barnes died suddenly after many years of effort to open a rifle manufacturer in Coolidge. At his death, Earle Minkler took over management of the business under the name Earle & Harry Minkler Rifle Company Ltd.. The first production gun model produced by this company was called anElk Model A1 rifle which was chambered for .30 caliber Winchester rounds and sold solely within Great Britain and Ireland until 1938 when it began being exported to North America also under that name. In 1951 Earle & Harry Manufacturing Associates changed its name back to Earle Minkler Rifle Company Ltd., once again manufacturing only British military rifles

In Coolidge, Arizona, there is a history of firearms and hats. In 1886, the city council passed an ordinance allowing for the sale of pistols and shotguns in addition to rifles. The law was repealed in 1887. In 1933, the Coolidge Administration considered proposals to make firearms regulations more stringent than those existing at that time. One proposal proposed that handguns not be sold with magazines larger than five rounds and that revolvers not be marketed as “police” pistols. It also proposed that citizens carry only one gun at a time and prohibit open carry of firearms outside of homes or businesses between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.). On February 14, 1934, the administration published its final proposal which would have made all firearm regulations stricter than they were then. This proposal would have required Citizens to obtain a license from the City Manager before owning any type of firearm (except shotguns), closed off areas within city limits where guns could not be possessed or transported without a license, placed restrictions on magazine size and revolver ownership
coolidge is a town in Pima County, Arizona, United States. The population was 1,922 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Phoenix metropolitan area. The name "Coolidge" originated from English settlers who named the land after President Coolidge's birthplace, Aylesbury Vale in Buckinghamshire, England. The first post office opened in 1902 and was called Coolidgeville; it was moved to its present location in 1904. When the original county seat shifted from Prescott to Tucson in 1912, Coolidge became the new county seat and remains so today. The townsite that now includes Coolidge was platted on August 10, 1903 by Jens Ludwig von Schlieffenbach as part of a larger deal between Pima County and Apache Township (now Sedona). At that time there were only two settlements within Pima County - Peoria and Flagstaff - but Coolidge would become one of the most important villages within its boundaries due to its strategic location: just outside of both Prescott and Tucson proper with easy access to Interstate 10 as well as all other major highways. Coolidge first attained notoriety during World War II when it served as an infantry training center for military personnel employed by Gila River Power Company which built much of what is now downtown Phoenix. After the war ended, many people left town for various reasons including high unemployment rates caused by peacetime GI arrivals instead of wartime production quotas set by government planners; however some residents did return such as restaurateur Floyd Babbitt who reopened his old restaurant/bar across from Main Street Square known then as "the Fuzzy Wuzzy." This district still exists today named Babbitt Way after him with additional businesses located east of Main Street Square along I-10 near Camelback Road before transitioning into residential areas east of Loop Road including Sun Devil Stadium westward until Watertown Avenue replaced it becomingLoop Rd., Stages & Park Blvd., which closed down in 2016 when US Airways vacated their headquarters Sky Harbor Airport Coyote Valley tower which had been their main tenant since 1993 when they moved out following their acquisition by American Airlines parent company Enron Corp..

It was worn by a militiaman to show respect. The second hat is thought to be from 1795, and it was made out of felt and had a metal buckle around the back. It was worn by an officer or soldier as part of their uniform. The third hat is believed to date back to 1865, and it was made out of felt and had a black cloth band around the front. It was used by Union soldiers during the American Civil War. After the war, many new firearms hats were designed, such as this one from 1921. This firearm hat features a green felt brim with black leather straps at the sides, which makes it look like an old-fashioned revolver holster.

In the year 1924, President Herbert Hoover signed into law the Coolidge Act which created Coolidge National Forest in Arizona. The forest was named after Ulysses S. Grant, who had served as the 20th president of the United States and helped create the area. The forest is located in eastern Arizona and covers an area of 1,500 square miles. TheCoolidge Act also made it a requirement for all new federal lands to be acquired through cooperative purchase with state governments. This gave rise to what is known as the Phoenix Land Purchase Program. In this program, government officials bought large tracts of land in Phoenix specifically for use as federal land. As a result, much of Arizona’s history can be found within these boundaries. One important aspect of Coolidge’s presidency that has been largely overlooked is his role in creating American air travel. The first commercial airline service between Phoenix and New York City was started on October 15, 1927 by Air America Corporation under the name “National Airways Limited” flight #1A. This service operated using Boeing 727-200 aircraft operating out of Sunnyside Airport in Phoenix
The city of Coolidge, Arizona was founded in 1912 when the NorthernArizona Railway built a track from Tucson to Coolidge. The city is named for Herbert Hoover, the 20th president of the United States.
