In the 1800s, Casa Grande, Arizona was a small town with a few businesses and a few people. The only thing that made it stand out were its unique optical accessories. The town's unique products helped make it one of the most popular tourist destinations in America during that time. One of the first optical accessory businesses in Casa Grande was Mr. & Mrs. Griggs' Optical Emporium, which opened in 1885. It was located on US- 89 between Casa Grande and Payson. In 1912, the business moved to 274 N Broadway which is still standing today! The Griggs family continued to run their business until 1959 when they sold it to Harry Wecht and his wife Betty Wecht who ran it as Wecht's Optical Emporium until 1984 when they sold it again to Don Herrington. Don Herrington operated the store for 16 years before selling it to Rick Sessler in 1992 who operating it until 2003 when he closed the store permanently due to financial problems. Rick Sessler reopened the store on October 15th, 2003 and continues operations today as The Oasis Store CASA GRANDE AZ USA!

Casa Grande, Arizona is a town in Pima County, Arizona, United States. The population was 954 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Phoenix metropolitan area. Casa Grande was founded in 1847 as a sheep and cattle station by George Hickenlooper and his brother-in-law James Fenton. The name honors General John Cochrane, who fought in Mexico during the Mexican–American War. In 1880, the town incorporated as a town under the name of Casa Grande City; however, this name was dropped from use after becoming too similar to other nearby towns with similar names (e.g., Garden Valley). The original Kasasabi Mine opened on November 8th 1886 by Hiram Sutter and resulted in world first production of silver ore from an opencast mine located near present day downtown Casa Grande. In 1903 construction began on what would become America's largest concrete building when the Kasasabi Mining Company erected its first dam across Anacapa Creek to store water used for irrigation purposes below ground in order to produce more crops year-round instead of just during summer months when rainfall was abundant enough to recharge groundwater tanks necessary for irrigation purposes above ground. This structure remains one of history's most significant landmarks & remains an important part of local history today! The Kasasabi Dam also served as America's primary source for power until it closed due to concerns about coal mining operations nearby and competition from new electrical generation facilities being built east of Tucson at that time which caused a decrease in demand for waterpower producing dams like Kasasabi Dam which had been providing all their needs until then! On July 4th 1907 brothers Alvaro Vargas (Alvaro Vargas), Francisco Martinez (Francisco Martinez) and Carlos Guerrero Lopez received U.S Patent No 762,927 for certain improvements made to improve agricultural methods including raising livestock using electrified fencing having storage capacity up to 2000 head/day with out damage done to surrounding range land etc... so that these families could continue growing sugar cane on their holdings even though they were now living outside Casa Grande proper! These developments allowed us our very own Telephone Exchange building back then called "El Centro" which still stands today inside our current courthouse complex next door! All around town people would go door-to-door selling newspapers or anything else related thereto because there wasn't any electricity or phone service available within walking distance then either! We must credit El Centro founder Manuel Quezada with starting this whole telephone exchange thing because without him we wouldn't have even had internet access nowadays haha ;)

By 1830, almost alloys had been invented which improved the durability of eyeglasses and lenses because they could resist scratches and damage. In 1827, Frenchman Jean-Dominique Lefèvre proposed an idea for creating a new type of lens called achromatic lens which would allow photographers to take pictures without needing glasses or other optical equipment. By 1830, most experts agreed that this was an important development which would change photography forever! However, there was still much work to be done before Lefèvre’s proposal could finally become reality! In 1865, American inventor James Breen designed a telescope called the Vemurian Telescope which became one of the most successful telescopes ever built! It was able to resolve details much better than any other telescope at its time and helped scientists learn about astronomy more accurately than ever before! In 1895, Swiss inventor Conrad Wegener developed what is now known as an 8x50mm zoom lens called the Wegener Schmidt Lens! This lens helped photographers capture stunning images using very wide angle views! In 1928, British astronomer Arthur Eddington demonstrated that visible light does not travel perfectly in straight lines like we thought it did back then! After this demonstration, many people began believing that photosynthesis may not be entirely accurate after all!!! In 1948 American physicist John Schioldt announced his theory that light consists of tiny particles known as photons!!! This announcement changed everything again because now everyone realized just how important photons are for photography!!! After Schioldt’s announcement came photolithography (or photoconductive printing), which allowed computers to print out pictures directly onto paper!! Casa Grande is a city located in Pima County, Arizona. The population was 54,902 at the 2010 census. Casa Grande is part of the Tucson metropolitan area. It began as a small Native American village on the eastern edge of what is now Casa Grande, Pima County, in 1881. The first white settler to arrive in this area was Captain John Wesley Powell who explored the Grand Canyon and its potential for gold mining in 1885-86. In 1912, the town was platted by Don Laughlin and Waddell Jennings with assistance from USGS landslide photographer Harry Esmond (1887-1976). The post office called Casa Grande "Casa Belle" until it changed to "Casagrande" on January 10, 1907. On July 20th 1903, while traveling through Pima County on his way to explore Monument Valley National Park he made camp near present day Casino del Norte on Tucson's east side and named his new post camp Gila River Ranch after Gila Bend National Forest where he had seen possibility for goldmines. When he returned home on July 24th he reported finding no gold but naming his new settlement for artesian water supplies (Gila River) which were available only about six miles due east of present day Casa Grande from which most all water supply for towns in central Arizona comes today: one mile beyond that point split by two small creeks called Elk Horn Wash and Springerville Wash., both flowing into Gila River just south of modern day Casa Grande In 1915 the United States government created Mount Graham National Park Expedition because President Woodrow Wilson wantedto show America's seriousness about conservationism before going into World War I; during this era many people believed that if America entered World War I then war would break out across all sectors so creating need for an expedition like Mount Graham to study natural resources before deciding whether or not they should enter hostilities In 1916 when Congress passed act 103 making national forests within each state there was much discussion as to what should be done with these lands since some felt they should remain public while other saw them as less important and less deserving of protection than more valuable national forests such as Rocky Mountains or Cascade Range states markers were placed at various points throughout Arizona Territory indicating sites where these forests had been established including Turtle Mountain NF west of Prescott AZ along Uvalde Rd outside Phoenix AZ also Apache Pass NP east of Nogales AZ All told there are over 1800+ signers including several governors/prime ministers

However, during World War II, much of the city was destroyed by bombing raids from Japan. Today only a few walls remain standing from what once were many homes and businesses in Casa Grande.
