Gun lights began being used at this facility to signal police officers and other emergency personnel while also providing illumination for motels and other buildings within reach of operators. The popularity of gunlights led to their inclusion on law enforcement vehicles starting in 1916 when a company called Auto Supply Company produced an automobile with an illuminated gunlight under the dashboard. By 1920, automatic pistols had become common so that lighting was no longer necessary on individual officers’ cars. As stricter regulations against handgun ownership came into effect in 1930, many private businesses stopped stocking handguns for fear that they would be confiscated if authorities discovered them possessed. In response, several gun manufacturers developed lightguns specifically designed for private use which continued to be available until after World War II when regulation prohibiting possession of non-automatic firearms ended up causing many handgun owners to give up their arms altogether.

Today, Casa Grande remains one of the most vibrant cities on both sides of the Mexican-US border - hosting events such as music festivals and summer baseball games that attract tens of thousands visitors each year. The City also continues to work vigorously towards improving infrastructure and becoming more inclusive throughout all facets of society - including striving for gender parity in elected officials and working towards increased access to healthcare for all residents.
