There is also a restaurant inside CampVerde called The Ranch House that specializes in American Indian cuisine and historical recreations such as teepees used by the Pima tribe at the time of its establishment in 1912.

The original Camp Verde was located on the present-day site of the city of Phoenix. The second camp, also named Camp Verde, was established in 1922 on an area now known as Indian Hills.
