In 1970, however, when Interstate 10 was realigned and bypassed through downtown BullheadCity along his current route – effective immediately following passage of state legislation creating I-10 expressways – many longtime residents chose to move out or downriver all together rather than find themselves Orizaba again. In recent years there has been growth within nearby Mesa County due to new development around downtown and developments adjacent thereto such as Mohave Dry Lake Resort & Casino and Mohave Heritage Village which have drawn attention from both locals and tourists alike since opening their doors about 2 1/2 miles north of downtown onMohave Lake Boulevard just outside Ofcanyon Valleytown limits
