In 1915, BGA purchased their first shotgun from Wm J McNaught & Bros., located in Phoenix. From 1916 until 1919, BGA was based out of Tucson and operated out of several homes before settling in their present location on East Second Street in 1918-19. From 1921 until 1929, BGA was headquartered at 4363 East First Street in Buckeye proper. From 1934 until 1945 BGA was headquartered at 9191 North Third Street east of downtown Phoenix
Buckeye, Arizona is a small town in Pima County, Arizona. The population was 2,812 at the 2010 census. It is located on the east side of the Pima County line, about south of Tucson and west of Phoenix. In 2007, Buckeye had an unemployment rate of 5.5%. The name "Buckeye" comes from the Apache word "bucha," meaning "a piece of land." The first European to visit what is now Buckeye was Francisco Garcia de Anza in 1769. He named it after his friend and fellow explorer Gabriel García Márquez who also explored this area. In 1867, Harker Wrote that he crossed into Arizona from Mexico near present-day Tucson on horseback and found that there were two forks in the county where he thought there might be a mining district: one called Tucumcari (now part of Phoenix) because it had been discovered by José María Escobar while exploring nearby Camelback Mountain; and another called Butte Creek because Father Miguel Cabrera had sent him word that rich deposits lay there. However, these claims were never developed. In 1893–1894 Gifford Atherton traveled through the area and reported finding gold but no mines could be located until 1935 when Don Alfred Kroeber discovered three mines near Buckeye prospecting site which became known as Kroeber Gold Fields. On December 12th 1898 Elisha Gray led a party including Captain John Jubb overland from Prescott to Zacatecas Springs where they may have found water supplies for cattle purposes before continuing on to Tucson where they built an adobe fortification called Fort McDowell guarding the springs known today as Springerville Creek which provides drinking water for Buckeye today Silvermining started in earnest around 1875 by prospectors such as James Mooney Sr., father of American silver pioneer James Mooney Jr., with help from John Wesley Powell who visited Tucson during his explorations of southern Arizona in 1876-77 followed by others such as Harry Browne who mined lead and silver at Sinaloa Junction northwest of Buckeye soon after its discovery by George Stephenson in 1886 along with other miners including Hiram Bingham who struck it rich smuggling large quantities o silver overland to California
There is no one answer to this question as the history of gun swivels goes back many years. In 1892, a company named Winchester brought out the first working firearm that incorporated a gunswoggle. This allowed the user to rotate the barrel in order to get a different view of what was behind it. The rifle could also be fired with just one hand while holding onto the stock with the other. In 1934, another company, Colt Firearms Corporation, released their own version of the gunswoggle. This design featured four metal circles that could be rotated in order to get a different view of what was behind it. Unfortunately, this design was not well received by consumers and only produced a small number of units. In 1951, Mattel Corporation introduced their own version of the gunswoggle called “The Gun Swivel”. This device featured an all-metal body that could be rotated in order to change views from front to back or sidetoside. It became very popular and remained in use until 1984 when it was discontinued due to its low production rate. Today, there are numerous variations on the basic design including those used by law enforcement and military forces around the world. Some companies have even patented their own versions of this technology which makes them more unique and exclusive than others.
There is no doubt that the practice of gun swivels has been around for centuries. However, the origin of this particular type of shooting exercise is unknown. It could be that people in ancient times would rotate their rifles to get a better view from different angles. Alternatively, it is possible that early firearms were not equipped with swivels, so shooters had to use other means of rotating the weapon.
