They were fired by loading the cartridge into the barrel and pulling the trigger. On May 26, 1886, George Paulding patented a revolver thatfired .357 magnum rounds. This pistol was called the Peacemaker and it had a 5 inch barrel with a short stock and 4 inch grip circumference. It was chambered for this caliber of round. In 1898, another revolver was patented that used 9mm calibers rounds instead of 7.65 caliber cartridges which gave it an advantage over other firearms in terms of range and firepower when used against criminals or night robbers who operated with smaller calibers weapons such as rifles or shotguns while using dark clothing to blend in with their victims

Avondale also has some interesting architecture including the Roybal House which was built in 1892 as part of what became known as the Mesa Verde Rancho project; Christmastime lights are lit up nightly on top of Mount Graham while locals gather around to watch from below; and there are several small shops located around Main Street that sell local produce or handmade goods during the winter months

In 1905, as part of a large program of public works projects organized by Governor Heard, $47 million was spent preparingarea for development by creating new neighborhoods called "New Towns". The town name was changed from Globe Village to Avondale in honor of then-Governor James M. AVONDALE
