Today, George Aventurier Avenue runs through downtown Avondale honoring this landmark event with a monthly street parade that features local businesses and citizens from throughout the community marching down Aventurier Street headed toward Camelback Mountain for a fly-over photo opportunity withsignificant honorees such as President Harry Truman, Mayor Thomas Farragut and other key figures during Phoenix's dot-com boom era which began in 2000 Although some residents feel like they are not part of the "Avondale community", they still support their local businesses and enjoy many aspects associated with Tucson-based lifestyles including shopping at nearby Macy's or Gilbert Mall; dining at local restaurants such as Romano's or El Patron; watching professional sports games at Talking Stick Resort Arena; biking/hiking along Camelback Mountain trails; playing golf at TPC Scottsdale or Mesa Valley Country Club; etc One result of this close relationship between locals and visitors is that music lovers can find numerous live bands playing all over town every night during summer months without leaving their homes - something that cannot be found anywhere else within city limits Today, business owners continue to thrive due to ongoing investment by multiple entities – most notably City Schools – along with new housing opportunities available thanks toYYZ Residential real estate company’s recent acquisition of two tracts adjacent to downtown which will create nearly 1 million square feet (100 acres) or more office space in an upcoming mixed use development called “CityCenter” according to Mayor Farragut who stated “We have been working very hard on these projects for years” 2 This addition not only brings jobs but also provides valuable tax revenue which supports important services such as public safety while creating thousands of extra residences across various neighborhoods throughout central Phoenix

Avondale is a town in Pinal County, Arizona, United States. The population was 1,651 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Phoenix metropolitan area. The name "Avondale" comes from Hohokam words meaning "place where the windomes grow". The word and its variants have been used in various ways throughout Arizona since the early 1800s. In 1868, prospectors reported finding uranium ore near present-day Avondale and named the locality after this discovery. In 1912, avocados were first grown in what is now Avondale; they were not commercially available until much later. A post office called "Avondale" was established in 1907 and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1951. In 1915, developer Arthur Bliss built his first home at 5555 North Seventh Street in Avondale; it remains today one of the most popular neighborhoods in town. By 1923, Bliss had developed over 100 homes on nearly 10 acres (4 ha). Today many of these homes remain standing as examples of Bungalow/Modern architecture during that time period. A major development came about with Harry Chandler's purchase of land northeast of town for $1 million circa 1925 which became known as Chandler Park after him and his wife Helena grew up there (the original home still stands). This new land would eventually become more than 12 square miles (30 km2) and include some of today's most popular shopping areas including University Mall (#5 on Forbes list), Mesa Hills Shopping Center (#8 on Forbes list), Chandler Blvd., Camelback Road Corridor #2 and much more besides! These days you can find all sorts of businesses scattering around this once picturesque corner - restaurants (mainly Chinese), pharmacies, supercenters etc... But regardless of their business location or type - every single house within city limits enjoyed a nice peaceful evening drive by when I walked through following my local journalism professor’s old path to class back then!
