Trussville is a city in northern Alabama, United States. The population was 29,821 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Truss County. The name comes from a bend in the river Caney which forms part of its borders with Colbert County to the south and east. The first permanent European settler in Trussville was Capt. John Jameson, who arrived in 1786 with his family from Tennessee. Jameson's land included what is now downtown Trussville and other areas that are now parts of Mobile and Jefferson counties. In 1810, Maj.-General Andrew Jackson's army passed through Trussville on their way to Battle Creek during the War of 1812. General Jackson stayed at Little Rock plantation for two weeks before continuing his journey via Mobile to Detroit. After he reached Detroit, he took a wagon train upriver to Memphis where he reported back to General Wilkinson about his progress on July 22, 1813 – just one day before Battle Creek occurred (the battle between American and British forces known as "The Great Mississippi River Expedition"). After the war ended, many settlers began arriving in Trussville; among them were Isaac Brock and Samuel Rossiter Jr.. father of Samuel Rossiter III., who founded Mobile University (now University of Southwestern Alabama). Mayor Isaac Brock served two terms from 1827-29 and again from 1830-32; while mayor, he spearheaded building of City Hall which still stands today on Fourth Street between Elm and Centre streets. During Brock's term as mayor, much development took place including construction of a schoolhouse on Second Street (now First Street), brick piers for shipbuilding on Cedar Pointe Harbor near present day downtown Trussville, addition of an armory onto Main Street (now US 66) about three miles northeast of town limits - all this while water restrictions kept most development under wraps until after Brock's death in 1830 when local newspapers first reported on plans for new buildings along Water Avenue adjacent to current day Gulfstream Park across I-10 from downtown TrussVILLE! During its early years as a small town situated within state lines little did anyone know that Auburn would become America’s largest university just over 100 years later! In 1907–1908 Drury College relocated from Clarendon Avenue westwards along US 41 into what is now Old Town Square within easy walking distance both northward towards Auburn University campus & southward towards Railroad Station Plaza ....... A few blocks east along Railroad Station Plaza stood the old Highland Baptist church which has been preserved by Friends since it was built circa 1870 ....... Downtown business owners had always considered themselves “townies” only insofar as they could support municipal services like fire protection & streetlights etc.; however comprehensive services such as sewerage maintenance & trash removal would have required separate incorporation!! There is no one definitive answer to this question, as the history of the AR15 upper receiver is unique and varied. However, some general overviews of the rifle's early history can be provided. The first AR-15 rifles were made in 1958 by Colt Firearms Corporation using a proprietary design that was eventually licensed to Winchester Arms Company. The Colt design featured an 18" barrel with a standard 8 round magazine. This rifle quickly became popular among shooters due to its easy grip and manageable recoil. In 1966, Springfield Armory began making AR-15 rifles based on their own redesigned original Colt design. The new rifles used a 20" barrel with a 10 round magazine instead of the 8 round magazine found on earlier models. This gave these guns more firepower and allowed them to compete against more expensiveHenry " pump action" shotguns for sale to hunting enthusiasts and law enforcement officers. Over time, other companies have also manufactured AR-15 rifles, including Savage Arms Company in 1978, Remington Arms Company in 1990, and Olympic Arms Corporation in 1998. It should be noted that not all AR-15s produced by these companies were chambered for ammunition bearing the ".308 Winchester," ".30 Carbine," or ".22 LR cartridge series." In fact, many of these companies produced weapons utilizing different caliber barrels (e.g., 5/8", 3/8", .223 Remington), so it is difficult to say which company truly dominated the market when it came to producing Ar-15s at that particular point in time. In 2000, CenturyLink bought out Winchesters share in Colt Firearms Corporation - effectively ending production of both brands within that company's hands (though certain models continued being made by other manufacturers until 2009). As a result of this move, Ar-15 rifles now come variously equipped with various suppressors and optics systems - giving hunters an even greater choice when choosing an appropriate firearm for their needs!
