The company manufactured a wide variety of laser guns and optics, including gun lasers. In the early 1990s, Gun Laser Technology merged with another small laser manufacturer, AO Optronics. This merger allowed for the production of both gun lasers and optical systems. In 2003, Gun Laser Technology merged with Promega Corporation to form Promega-Gun Laser Technologies Inc. This company manufactures both gun lasers and optical systems. In 2016, Promega-Gun Laser Technologies Inc., along with their Canadian cousins storey-Laser Solutions Ltd., formed a new business unit called Advanced Precision Technologies Incorporated (APTI). APTI produces unique fiber-optic weapons sights that can be used on standard firearms such as shotguns and rifles.
