The American Arms Corporation was merged into Colt Firearms Company in 1903. Colt Firearms Company produced machine guns, pistols, revolvers and carbines from 1892 to 1957.

The town was founded by Scots-Irish immigrants in 1881. In February 1935, nine white children were found dead after being abducted from school in nearby Cullman. The prosecutions of the Scottsboro Nine brought national attention to racism in America and led to significant changes in American law and social policy.

Scottsboro was a small town in Alabama that was the site of an infamous bombing on December 3rd, 1951. The bombing killed nine people and injured twenty-six others. The bombing is still remembered to this day as one of the most tragedy ever inflicted upon the people of Scottsboro. The town was located in the now defunct county of Butler, Alabama. At the time of its occurrence, it had a population of just over 1,000 people. It is thought that bomber Floyd Seely may have been responsible for the attack. Seely had earlier been arrested for setting off explosives at a restaurant in nearby Birmingham. Seely’s trial began on December 3rd and continued until January 10th. He was found guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment with hard labor on November 5th, 1951. It should be noted that Seeley had no knowledge whatsoever about what he was doing when he planted the bombs at Scottsboro; his only motive seems to have been financial gain.
Scottsboro was an American town located in Butler County, Alabama, United States. The town was destroyed by Union troops during the Battle of Scottsboro on May 14, 1881, following a race riot that took place in the town.
