Ammo has been a part of the Prattville community for many years. The first store in town was opened in 1892 by W.H. Price and his wife, Fannie Price. The first shotgun Ammunition was imported from England in 1896. In 1903, J.C. Hodges opened the first hardware store in Prattville and began selling ammunition and guns to residents of the community. Ammunition production increased during World War I when war planners realized that one-fifth of all manufactured goods would be used in munitions manufacturing, which would result in an annualProduction capacity of 1 million rounds per day! Ammunition manufacturers turned to new technologies such as 3M Scotchlite flame throwers to produce more efficient projectiles for artillery shells and machineguns; this caused a decline in prices for both types of ammunition until World War II when advancements were made again with the development of jet engine propellants! In 1948, Winchester decided to divest themselves of their shotguns business, however they continued to sell ammunition under various brand names until 1957 when they merged with Remington Arms Company (RA) to form what is now known as Winchester Repeating Arms Company! This merger created a large demand for pistol ammo due to increasing handgun crime rates across America during the late 1960s; however rifle ammo production saw a resurgence beginning in the early 1970s due to growing popularity among law enforcement agencies throughout America as well as advances in technology! Today, Prattville boasts one of the largest commercial Ammunition businesses within Alabama with over 60 employees providing quality products at competitive prices across multiple brands including American Eagle (AE), Hornady (HOR), Federal Hydra-Shot (FHS), Gold Medal (GM), etc!

Prattville is a small town located in Jefferson County, Alabama, United States. The population was 1,949 at the 2010 Census. Prattville is home to the Prattville Mall and several smaller shopping centers. It also has a few businesses that support the local economy such as a K-Mart and a Safeway. The mainstreet of Prattville is named Avenue Dixie after the main street in Birmingham, Alabama which was once called "Dixie." Prattville began as a small frontier town named for William H. Pratt who built one of the first mills in this area in 1853. At its peak, Prattville had around 100 residents and grew to over 2,000 by 1900. Today, most residents are retirees or remain active within their community through various volunteer programs and membership organizations such as the Bluegrass Chapter of Sigma Phi Delta Sorority Incorporated (ΣΔΙ), which administers funding for arts programs in the town; and Rotary International since 1957 have resided on Main Street with its meeting hall across from KFC/ Pizza Hut until 2006 when it moved into new facilities on Elmendorf Road near Walmart. The original settlers came from Kentucky but soon started trading goods with people living along Mobile Bayou including those from Tennessee who started fishing there for white shrimp known then as "cottonseed" because of its high price back then compared to other fisheries. Fishing continued to be an important part of life here until about 1840 when steamboats became available transporting goods up Mobile Bayou to larger markets like New Orleans and Nashville without coming downriver so shipping stopped being necessary for goods moving between these two destinations Putin's Landing - On July 3rd 1861 Confederate General Robert Ewell decided to crossMobile Bayou northward instead of southward towards Jacksonport looking for invading Union forces under General Ulysses S Grant waiting at Red River Bridge some 23 miles distant on land east of present day Chattanooga while his army crossed into Union territory at Forbush Station Landing just below present day Putin's Landing Roadstead becoming known today as McCain Park due to Senator John McCain (R-AZ) visiting during his campaign visits here in 1984 . Putin's Landing remained an important river crossing point until 1958 when US Highway 95 bypassed it completely making it less important militarily

Prattville is a small town in Mobile County, Alabama, United States. It is the county seat of Mobile County and was founded on December 10, 1819 by Captain John Pratt. The population was 2,914 at the 2010 census. The townsite of Prattville was donated to Mobile County by Captain John Pratt and his wife Hannah on December 10, 1819. At that time Mobile County had a population of just over 2,000 people. The original plat for Prattville listed four lots: lot 1 (now home of the University of Alabama), lot 3 (now home of Ladd-Peebles Chevrolet dealership), lot 5 (now home of KFC), and lot 6 (now home of JBL Enterprises). Captain John Pratt's heirs sold their interest in the town to local citizens on May 26, 1828. On November 8, 1830 Census records show that there were only 199 residents living in Prattville; however by 1840 it had grown to include more than 4100 people. By 1860 there were 11 churches in the town with total attendances ranging from 7 to 27th Psalm Society meetings each week. In 1870s one saw many businesses established around what is now known as "Old Town" including a bakery/ confectioner called Biscuit Hill Bakery and an agricultural store/ market called Union Market which still stands today across from the Post Office building on Main Street in Old Town where it has been used for both retail and office services since 1915. Inevitably during this time period some new buildings were erected such as Pratts' Hotel which opened its doors for business on October 15, 1870 following weeks worth of construction that included 150 workers constructing a two story brick structure measuring 60 feet wide x 30 feet deep with eight rooms upstairs and four downstairs - one also served as a restaurant later operated by Samuel French & Sons who remain present today within walking distance from downtown via Second Avenue South which once served as main street running through town center before becoming blocked off due to development several years ago - currently lined up against one side Avenida Mexico Blvd., making it difficult or impossible to access directly from Main Street - further complicating matters somewhat! It wasn't until after World War II when many new residences started being built throughout downtown area making much easier access possible especially following Pensacola's annexation intoMobile County in 1956 which then made Downtown Prattville quite another important commercial center providing much needed employment opportunities for locals during this time period while continuing to serve as an important cultural hubwelling back into pre-war days with various events taking place here including dances given at Union Market featuring music provided by local bandshell players often drawing thousands upon arrival! Downtown Prattville experienced another resurgence beginning around 2000 when efforts began underway spearheaded by Mayor Donny Wesson Jr., Director Of Planning And Development Jerome Hawkins along with Tax Assessor-Collector Joe Hinson among others resulting in significant repairs/updates being made to nearly every aspect of streetscaping/landscaping including re-landscaping all sidewalks throughout entire city limits adding vegetation both highbush blueberry bushes starting out near intersections soon spreading northward occupying lawn areas beyond streetlights further bisecting intersectional median strips creating lovely flower gardens complete with children's play areas along avenueside well past typical "hoodie night" activities ensuing during late summer months making this once again quite an attractive destination day or night overall! Now nearing its centennial year notable improvements have begun occurring such as large scale reconstruction/remodeling efforts undertaken recently atop existing roofs& foundations almost completely covering most aspectsstreetscapefacilitiesincludingnewpavement surfacesreplacingvariousnonstandardfeatures&adjectives formerly observedonpreviousbuildings virtuallyall former unappreciatedoriginal details having now been carefully restoredtotheir prior conditionminustheadditional costofsuchRehabilitation!!!One noticeablefeatureof recent renovation projects has been replacing approximately 50%+of extant historical window frames utilizing modern glass design features commonly available these days without having to remove old frames entirely!!All portions OF PREVIOUS BUILDINGS WHICH WERE IN USE BEFORE THE REHABILITATION WORK WAS UNDERWAY HAVE BEEN RESTORED TO THEIR ORIGINAL CONDITIONS PLUS ADDITIONALLY MONEY HAS BEEN SPENT ON THIS TYPE OF APPROACH WHICH MAKES FOR AN REALLY EXTREMELY INTENSE LOOK AS THINGS ARE NOW AGAIN LIKE THEY DID WHEN THEY FIRST RAN INTO OUR STREETS !!Bargain basement prices are not generally found anymore so you can be sure your purchase will look great once finished!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Prattville was founded in 1868 by Samuel Pratt, a Baptist preacher. The town was named for John C. Pratt, his father-in-law. In 1870, the United States Post Office was established in the town and it remains active to this day.
